TWO 50.0 BETDAQ BETS: Daqman plays right out in the swim today, casting for big fish at 50.0 and 45.0 on BETDAQ ante-post in his See How They Run feature for Cheltenham, and 50.0 win and place at Southwell this afternoon. His nap is a banker.

169-1 TREBLE ‘PLOT’: A bookies’-alarm treble ‘plot’ across the cards at Southwell and Lingfield sees them reduce the multiplied odds to a fraction of the 169-1 available on BETDAQ this morning.

50.0 AND SECOND CHANCE AT 45.0

Are you up for the craic at Cheltenham yet? Early days, isn’t it; but, if you don’t catch the trialists as they win (preferably BEFORE they win), you will lose the amazing festival odds on offer by BETDAQ exchange layers.

Maybe you were on Supreme Novices’ Hurdle favourite, Melon, before his runaway win at Leopardstown on Sunday? Good for you. But trials past and future make him vulnerable.

The Supreme has been won in two of the last three years by the winners (Vautour and Douvan) of the Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle, won this time around by Any Second Now from Crack Mome.

Yet Crack Mome, who is as low as 12-1 and 14-1 with bookmakers, is 29.0 in the BETDAQ orange ante-post for the race.

The Moscow Flyer winner, Any Second Now, who is as low as 10-1 and 12-1 in places with the fixed-odds boys, is fully 50.0 on BETDAQ.

At those offers you can take an early position on the race, and wait for what happens on Saturday week at Leopardstown.

That day both are entered for the Deloitte Hurdle, won by Champagne Fever (2013) and Vautour (2014) on their way to becoming Supreme champions.

Should Any Second do the Moscow Flyer and Deloitte double as Vautour did, the current BETDAQ market will be seen in hindsight as the land of milk and honey and that 50.0 will be lapped up

What if Any Second Now runs instead in the Neptune, for which he’s 10-1 in a place with bookmakers? Well, incredibly, he is 45.0 for that on BETDAQ. So dip your bread there as well!

‘PLOT’ NEEDS NERVES OF STEELE

Panic stations! Bookmakers cried ‘plot’ when doubles and trebles were reported on three Daniel Steele runners at Lingfield and Wolverhampton today, though two of them have pulled up in two of their last three starts.

The last time a Steele gamble pushed the alarm button, in November 2015, none of his four horses, then trained by Sheena West, could even reach the frame, among them one of today’s trio, Landscape.

The three are ludicrously short prices this morning, as revealed by the shortest and biggest odds on Oddschecker.

Alongside I’ve given the more sensible offers on BETDAQ. If you believe in the plot, the BETDAQ treble ratchets up to 169-1 but 29-1 at best with the fixed odds boys.

PP0/PP According To Them (3.00 Lingfield) 6-4 and 2-1 favourite; 6.2 BETDAQ
2-3240 Pulsating (3.20 Wolverhampton) 6-4 and 2-1 second favourite; 5.1 BETDAQ
-04P0P Landscape (4.30 Lingfield) 5-4 and 5-2 favourite; 5.4 BETDAQ

HESKIN’S ONLY MOUNT IS 50.0

1.00 and 3.10 Southwell It’s a shock to see one of my Fortune Cookies languishing in a class-4 at Southwell (1.00). You can look at this as a confidence booster for Its’afreebee after his flop at Haydock.

Or you can assume that all has not been well with the horse, and that he’s struggling, as is his trainer, Dan Skelton, whose strike rate is 1-20 since January 20.

At offers of 4.0 the front-runner Pearl Swan, it’s certainly not very tempting to taker 1.38 Its’afreebee to catch him.

Skelton has another short shot in Listen To The Man (3.10). He was turned over at 9-1 on his hurdles debut, albeit the winner went in again.

I shall have a silly pound on ‘hidden horse’ Padawan at 50.0. From the Irish Points circuit, he made a false start to his hurdling career but is related on the dam’s side to some decent animals.

And he is the only mount of the day for Adrian Heskin, who is having a great season and is 4-7 at Southwell for a 57% strike rate.

1.30 Southwell Un Prophete takes the nominal 7lb penalty for his first success in England, which was at Ludlow only a week ago. He will go up plenty for the 16-lengths success, and his main rival, Bally Logan, has dropped out of the race today. Still better than evens on BETDAQ.

CASTER SUGAR COATED AT 4.9

4.00 Lingfield After Hours and Tara Bridge seem to be nearly horses, 12 times in the first four for just one win between them. Rock On Rocky is similar, six times placed without winning since 2014.

Mr Muddle has scored just once in 46 months and the two wins for Doitforthevillage have been on good to soft ground not the bog heavy of Lingfield today.

That leaves us prospecting from the Ffos Las result of December 21 when Cape Caster (4.9 on BETDAQ this morning) beat Rock On Rocky and Astigos.

Cape Caster would have won much more easily that day had he not blundered two out but he rallied well, showing more purpose than has ever been seen from any of these bridesmaids against him here.

DAQMAN’S BETS (staked 1 to 9 for strength)
BACK 6pts win PEARL SWAN (1.00 Southwell)
BANKER: 20pts win (nap) UN PROPHETE (1.30 Southwell)
BACK 1pt win and place PADAWAN (3.10 Southwell)
BACK 5pts win CAPE CASTER (4.00 Lingfield)
