10 DAQMAN WINNERS IN FOUR DAYS: Racing blanked yesterday because of fog at Wolverhampton and Daqman’s four-day winning streak was held over to Southwell this afternoon. His New Year race-by-race strike-rate is 52%, including three winning naps for an overall profit of 122 points.

DIAMOND DAY FOR SAFFIE?
⭕ 3.45 Wolverhampton A class 4, theoretically the best race of the day, with Follow Your Heart a winner at this level, and a CD scorer the last day, his sixth course strike.
Thurso (fourth) ran well in that race and is half his age, one of several I fancy today that were still three-year-olds a few days ago and could improve. Betdaq Betting Exchange 19.5.
Echalar would be among them and a gelding op may be the answer to ‘him’ but trainer Jane Chapple-Hyam had three runners all well backed between Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve, and all were beaten.
Al Muqdad is up in the weights but Diamondonthehill has winning form a grade higher in his career, with Saffie Osborne an interesting change of rider. BETDAQ 6.5.
11.0 ANTIQUITY HAS YOUTH
⭕ 4.45 Wolverhampton Jamie Osborne has had three winners since the turn of the year and Saffie rides the four-year-old Antiquity for him from the one stall, a couple of pounds lower than when beaten half a length here in November. BETDAQ 11.0.
Always check the market in the following circumstances. Latin goes for a quick James Owen double in this one, penalised 5lb for scoring here last week.
Similarly, Ralph Beckett gives Dartrey a New Year treble bid at Southwell (8.00). Are you a backer or a layer?
KEEPING US INSUSPENSE
⭕ 4.30 Southwell The Racing Post’s admirable RTF shows Oliver Cole’s string performing to 100% of their ability, and the filly Insuspense herself has been placed within two or three lengths of the winner in five consecutive starts.
She was kept wide for her first try at the minimum last time and she is one of only three likely-to-improve four-year-olds in the race, the two others both giving her weight. BETDAQ 10.5.
ARISE SELENIC FOR SIR MARK
⭕ 6.00 Southwell Another filly making a distance change which can now reap dividends, Selenic is bred in the purple yet has Graded hurdlers in her pedigree.
Selenic could be a Sir Mark Prescott sequence horse as she steps up in trip and grade, so far first and second in mile races at Kempton but now tackling 1m 3f. BETDAQ 3.2 taken.
Last year’s winner Caramay is with another stable, William Muir’s, marked with a current 100% RTF.
CD-winner Little Miss India seemed to lose the lift the hood gave her here in October and cheekpieces didn’t help when added at Kempton the last day. Reverts to just the hood.
Romantic Spirit has won four, including a CD success here in October but David Menuisier had a quiet 2025.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
