IMPRESSIVE WINNER A DAY FOR DAQMAN: How Impressive! Winner-a-day Daqman scored with the 2-1 winner yesterday but picked the wrong one to keep his naps sequence going.

WON 2-1 HOW IMPRESSIVE (Monday)
WON 6-1 HEART WOOD (BETDAQ 11.5 to win 50) Sunday
WON 6-4 FACT OR FILE (FORTUNE COOKIE)
WON 10-11 LIARI (nap, at 2.98 on BETDAQ)
WON 100-30 AFADIL (Saturday nap) from BETDAQ 5.7
WON 11-4 VOLKAN BEY

RECORD CHELTENHAM BUY 21.0 ON BETDAQ: As some stars fade and new names top the Cheltenham markets, the talk is all of Willie Mullins but the biggest deal of all, a Jumps auction record €740,000, was made for Caldwell Potter yesterday at Tattersalls Ireland to be trained by Paul Nicholls. The grey was 21.0 this morning for the Supreme Novices Hurdle on the BETDAQ Sportsbook.

THE FORTUNE COOKIES FILE

NINE Cheltenham Festival favourites flop. But only four are created from the results. That’s one story of the weekend in which Willie Mullins came out on top for three of the four races that matter most in March.

BALLYBURN (Supreme Novices Hurdle)
EL FABIOLO (Champion Chase)
GALOPIN DES CHAMPS (Gold Cup)

But Mullins seems second best for the Champion Hurdle, with Nicky Henderson’s Constitution Hill long odds on to beat Willie’s dual Irish Champion Hurdle winner State Man when they clash at Cheltenham.

In a season so dominated by the sheer quantity at every level of Mullins’ Closutton clan, punters – and my Fortune Cookies – have been playing catch up as his host of trialists produced good and bad results, improvers winning the day over seemingly established players.

FACT TO FILE (Brown Advisory or Turners) is one of two Mullins hopes among the remaining 🔺FORTUNE COOKIES.
DINOBLUE (Mares Chase) is the other. Can win at Cheltenham if she avoids El Fabiolo.

FASTORSLOW stays on the list – he owes us nothing – but with the Ryanair in mind.

CHIEF IN LAST-CHANCE SALOON

⭕ 1.50 Taunton 🔺FORTUNE COOKIES have had not much luck this season and here’s ‘last-chance saloon’ for The Doyen Chief, odds-on winner at Market Rasen in early December.

A bad mistake cost him a place at Lingfield recently but he is rated within a pound of the form pick, Classic King, a Wincanton winner in the autumn, twice second in fair-sized fields afterwards.

Still a novice sort but Centara has won a bumper here and a hurdle, so 2-2 on the course for Paul Nicholls and going for a hat-trick.

⭕ 2.20 Taunton No wonder Fire Flyer was long-odds-on at Wincanton, where he won 13 lengths on the first day of February month.

He had finished second at Newbury just before Christmas to Gidleigh Park, who completed a four-timer (no losers) in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham towards the end of January.

MESSAGE FOR FROST ON E-MAIL

⭕ 2.05 Market Rasen Some 68% of Bryony Frost’s winners have been for Paul Nicholls and, while Harry Cobden pilots Fire Flyer in a four-pronged attack on local-track Taunton today, she is entrusted with Emailandy solo raider on Market Rasen in this novice hurdle.

⭕ 3.35 Market Rasen A solid-looking three-miler at class-4 level, with three last-day winners.

After Easy Bucks was given a 438-day holiday following five consecutive places (one win) over fences for Peter Bowen, he moved to ‘Shark Hanlon for a month, producing an eight-length success at Punchestown.

Scene One has landed three in a row, still standing (11P1), the last day scoring here at Market Rasen but over half a mile shorter than today.

Mixedwave is a CD winner at Rasen, set to receive 19lb from both Easy Bucks and Scene One. His form of 112331(D)21, one win disqualified for whip misuse, suggests he will be very hard to beat.

Concetto could upset the obvious, back to within 1lb of the mark when he won a class 5 at Musselburgh (back to back with one at Huntingdon). Sixth in the Lincolnshiire National, just behind Inis Oirr, who won the Edinburgh National at the weekend.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
