Sunday profit on the day 9 points

STORM CHANDRA: Has had its say with Limerick (today) and Leicester (tomorrow) being called off. Newcastle’s afternoon card today has passed a morning inspection and looking further ahead parts of Leopardstown are waterlogged ahead of the Dublin Racing Festival this weekend – although the heaviest rain has now passed.
PEARL OF WILLIE’S WISDOM
Who’s the boss, then! Just when they have been talking down Willie Mullins’ season as he chases Gordon Elliottt for winners at home, just when they are pointing to next weekend at Leopardstown as a watershed…
That’s when Willie weaves new strands into his magic carpet with virtual unknowns emerging to add colour and texture to his Cheltenham plans.
Suddenly at Naas on Sunday he produced first time under rules a 24-lengths winner of the NH Flat race, a big, strong relentless galloper being considered a Florida Pearl type.
Love Sign d’Aunou is now all the rage for the Cheltenham bumper, which Willie has won 14 times, Florida Pearl (1997) among them.
Then yesterday, as Daqman warned he would, another Closutton youngster, Leader D’Allier, strung out a field of 14 at Punchestown by nine lengths and 12 lengths.
The remaining puzzles are which novice event at Cheltenham is this new Leader going to win, and who took yesterday’s Supreme quote of 50-1 before the Punchestown race?
HOME WIN FOR THE NORTH
⭕ 1.20 Newcastle Touch and go at Newcastle with the course only cleared for racing after a 10.30am inspection.
This novice hurdle throws up an interesting North v South battle with last time out winners Le Beau Madrik (Dan Skelton) and Eagles Reprieve (Lucinda Russell) taking each other on.
Both are penalised so cancel each other out on that front. Le Beau Madrik is the solid favourite on Betdaq Betting Exchange after his course win in November and he is stepped up in trip today which should suit.
In pure form terms though Eagles Reprieve has probably achieved more to date and was quite impressive when making all to win at Kelso last time out over a similar trip.
In this sphere it’s always tempting to oppose penalised runners however Loulou Madrik (125-1 runner-up last time) and Buddha Castle (looked an awkward ride when winning a weak contest at Sedgefield) don’t really stand out to me in this better company.
WALK IN THE PARK
⭕ 3.12 Chepstow A fascinating clash between Charisma Cat and Clondaw Park who again do battle after clashing in a Listed event at Newbury.
That day Charisma Cat did best finishing second with Clondaw Park unseating three out.
Charisma Cat is likely to go off odds-on here but let her supporters down big time on Boxing Day when second at 1-6 at Wincanton.
She started her career well including a Listed bumper win at Sandown and has been pitched in at the deep end since but she should have been winning that Wincanton race with ease and I’d be nervous about taking short odds again.
Clondaw Park was an impressive point winner and despite the unseat on rules debut remains a decent prospect.
TIME FOR MIDNIGHT
⭕ 6.00 Wolverhampton Midnight Call’s chance looks obvious on paper.
All three of his career all-weather wins have come here – including when making all to win a classified event last time out.
Ordinarily a step into handicap company would be considered tougher but his rivals are woefully out of form so it looks a penalty kick for the Tony Carroll trained runner.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
