11-4 NAP IN FOUR-DAY SEQUENCE: Daqman delivered again yesterday for a fourth strike in his winner-a-day sequence. Harry Junior was a tasty 11-4 nap.

TODAY: DAQMAN spotted big offers on BETDAQ at 10-1 and 14.0.

HEARD ABOUT A 14.0 SHOT?

⭕ 1.00 Bangor This is a jumpers-to-follow chase, sponsored by a blogger (good luck to him) but ironically you don’t need his advice: just follow the winners of the race!

Last year, Jagwar went on to two wins out of three, including success at the Cheltenham Festival.

Before that, Garincha won twice more; Yggdrassil won 3-4; Maypole Class won next time; Zolfo landed 4-6.

Reallytruthfully, it’s a gem of a race but the worry with the horse of that name is that he has topweight of 12st.

His jumping prowess depends on his sole chase start, in which he turned over a favourite who was beaten into a place in both outings, before and after.

Don’t Tell Su has also had just the one start over the bigger obstacles after nine consecutive hurdles in a place.

New Order has much more fencing experience, winning three chases out four, the last one at Sandown.

Heard That at 14.0 (quickly in from 18.5) on BETDAQ is 121 (still standing) and ridden by Sean Bowen, Margaret’s Legacy 1211.

Though less than eight grand to the winner, it really is a quality race of some depth, which has brought out the in-form yards of Henderson, Murphy, Skelton and Derham, plus Henrietta Knight (six placed out of seven) and Ben Pauling (seven out of 10).

10.0 LE MILOS LOOKED BIG

⭕ 2.00 Bangor Just when I am thinking that the one o’clock chase is tough, Bangor comes along with one a grade higher worth two-and-a-half times as much.

Again previous winners have done well, not least Le Milos who went straight from scoring in this to winning the Newbury Autumn Gold Cup in 2022.

He’s back today as a 10-year-old and whether he aims Cup high again, also depends on a weight-carrying performance here, off top spot with 12st. But BETDAQ 10.0 was tempting.

Doctor Ken and likely favourite, The Doyen Chief, prefer a sounder surface and another ‘at a price’ may be Hold That Taught, who has won three times after long breaks. Betdaq Betting Exchange 9.7 taken.

Richmond Lake goes well fresh, has swerved last year’s return in the Grand Sefton for ordinary obstacles this time and resumes after a wind op. But I find Donald McCain’s winners hard to spot.

PADDY PICK FOR A SUPERNAP

⭕ 2.50 Ayr The Scottish play is high drama too, with races named after Cab On Target, Red Rum and Night Nurse but more rain forecast and a worry that the weather will bring the curtain down.

This beginners’ chase has two so closely matched that the handicapper separates them by only a pound.

Their absence from the track also matches up to within two days, both having run at the Cheltenham Festival.

Unbeaten in four starts before that, Derryhasen Paddy was third in the Albert Bartlett.

A big chasing type, he had done the hat-trick of so many young stars with depth: he won point, bumper and hurdles race.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
