WAAZY TO MOTOR HOME

⭕ 3.00 Catterick Local trainer Michael Dods should strike here with Motawaazy who looks the nap of the day on the BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE given that he is actually DROPPING in class after his win at Carlisle last week.

That win continued a purple patch for Motawaazy this season – his third win and from eight starts has only finished once outside the top three.

In short, he looks better than his rivals here and well capable of defying his statutory 5lb penalty.

One of the main dangers Elladora is now a non runner leaving Sfumato and Paddy Power as looking best of the rest.

Sfumato won well over course and distance two starts ago but has just looked in the grip of the handicapper in his two starts since.

Paddy Power won at Ayr in April and was a close third over course and distance subsequently but his form seems to have dipped since then in two starts. He would be a big danger if back to his best but that’s quite a leap of faith.

SI SIGNORE!

⭕ 3.30 Catterick Another locally trained runner looking to defy a penalty for a recent win is Quercus who bids for a C&D hat-trick in August!

The Ann Duffield trained runner didn’t have too much in hand here last week though when holding on by a neck in a blanket finish and might struggle with the extra 5lb on his back. The handicapper has only raised him 2lb so he is actually 3lb worse in for running again so quickly.

That could leave the door open for the old boy Signore Piccolo to reverse the form with Quercus from the 3rd August. The revised weight terms give him every chance of turning the length and a half around.

Rebel Redemption has chances but his wide draw in 9 is a negative over the six furlongs.

IRISH LOOKS LEGENDARY

⭕ 8.30 Kempton A class 3 handicap is the best race on Kempton’s card this evening and it presents the perfect opportunity for the Hugo Palmer trained Irish Legend to strike.

A winner at Newcastle in May, he’s returning from a spell on the turf which has seen some good runs in better company – notably his third in the class 2 Golden Gates Stakes at Royal Ascot.

This is his first start since being gelded and he could easily outclass his rivals.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
