9-1 DAQMAN TIP GETS THE BIG DECISION: After 14.5 Haunted Dream was caught on the line, Daqman had to wait until the finale at Goodwood yesterday for a 10.0 BETDAQ hit to put him in profit. Daqman 41, Pricewise 19 (Galway not part of the challenge this week)

FIRST-CLASS TICKET TO GOODWOOD CLASH: The Sussex Stakes clash of FORTUNE COOKIES Paddington and Inspiral is the feature of Day 2 at Goodwood but Daqman opens with a brave early nap and then a bull’s-eye win and place bet in the fillies’ Group 3.

33-1 WIN EVEN BIGGER ON BETDAQ

Betdaq Betting Exchange is your winner every day. Daqman picked a short-list of BETDAQ offers in the 2.50 handicap yesterday for punters to check the value against other markets and the SP.

Here’s the list again with the SP in brackets: ⬆️ 4.8 Millebosc (7-2 SP), ⬆️ 5.4 Eagle’s Way (10-3 favourite SP), ⬆️ 10.5 Pride Of America (8-1 SP), ⬆️ 11.5 Lord Protector (13-2 SP), ⬆️ 14.5 Haunted Dream (10-1 SP), ⬆️ 19 Outbreak (20-1 SP), ⬆️ 37 Ancient Rome (33-1 SP).

So, total value gleanings: 11.4 points of ‘overs’. Returns: WON 33-1, 2nd 10-1. Value or what! Do it yourself today.. and every day.

AMLETO A LIKELY STRONG ORDER

⭕ 1.50 Goodwood (1m 4f handicap) The punt on Millebosc went astray in the Chesterfield Cup on the first day but it may not stop his trainer, William Haggas, from taking this handicap with Amleto, brother to Irish Oaks and Yorkshire Oaks winner, Sea of Class, second in the Arc to Enable.

The apple of William’s eye, seen in a race of winners at Kempton over the winter, Amleto broke his maiden when going clear on the soft at Chester in May. Given time since.

Charlie Johnston wants this, with four runners trying to follow the hoofprints of three winners in six seasons (2014-2019) trained by his father, Mark.

He has booked jockeys others wish they had for Struth (Joe Fanning), French Invasion (Frankie Dettori), Alumnus (Franny Norton) and Cool Party (Saffie Osborne).

French Invasion is the lightly-raced one with potential. Westerton finished well over 1m 2f the last day and the step up in trip should suit.

But on this occasion, rather than tasting a BETDAQ value list as I did yesterday, you may find that taking early Amleto is what ‘s required, with the Newmarket dogs barking his name.

BREEGE GETS ALL THE BREAKS

⭕ 2.25 Goodwood (Oak Tree Stakes, 7f Group 3) Six of the last seven winners were drawn 1, 2 or 3 from prominent positions on the inner.

Fast Response, out of the one stall, gets her ground but she had raced only at 5f-6f until a spin around Chester over 7f suggested this race.

Internationalangel (gate 2) was runner-up last year out of 10, only headed on the post. The ground is a worry today but you can be sure she is aimed at the race.

Three-year-olds do best with a 50% strike rate and Breege (3), at around 10.0 on BETDAQ, has class on her side.

Third at Ascot and runner-up here at Goodwood (both Group 3) as a juvenile, before fifth in the fillies’ 2yo classic, the Marcel Boussac, behind Blue Rose Cen, this year’s French Guineas and Oaks winner.

A stablemate of Lord Riddiford, Breege came back to form the last day, beaten a length when short of room, in the big-field Sandringham Stakes at Royal Ascot (Dream of Love not clear run).

The jury is out on Olivia Maralda’s ability with cut in the ground. Epsom winner over yesterday’s Group-2 fourth, Holguin.

Others with top quality are Matilda Picotte and Jumbly, who the last twice was within two or three lengths of the winner in Group 2.

A winner on soft, but stall 12 looks trappy, and gate 16 leaves front-running Irish-raider Matilda Picotte with a very tough task.

INSPIRAL FRESH FOR £567k HIT

⭕ 3.35 Goodwood (Sussex Stakes) Is Paddington really worth odds-on after a long season and the demise of the Derby one-two by older horses in Saturday’s King George?

Both Paddington and Inspiral are FORTUNE COOKIES so I want the best priced one to win. Inspiral is huge at 5.1 on BETDAQ this morning.

Paddington is officially 5lb better than Inspiral and receives 3lb age allowance. When he won the Eclipse, he was rated 3lb better than Emily Upjohn but received 7lb.

He and Emily Upjohn had a hard battle and she went over the top in the King George.

Paddington’s five straight wins included soft and heavy success but will he still be up to stopping a filly who has had just one run this year?

Apart from the £567,100 first prize, the Cheveley Park Stud value for the daughter of Frankel will absolutely spiral should she win.

TAKE IT EASY! BEENHAM TOP DRAW

⭕ 4.10 Goodwood (5f 2-y-o fillies) Lord Biddiford ran away with the sprint yesterday up the stands’ rail from stall 15. The short-priced favourite coming out of stall 4 on the far side was 9th.

These are two-year-olds and any one, particularly if lightly raced, can scoot forward but I can’t see value at the front of the market.

Tropical Island was a £135,000 breeze-up buy but she missed the break at Ripon and a slow-starter is not what you want at Goodwood.

Flora Of Bermuda could fare best of the low numbers. Drawn on the wrong side in the Queen Mary, she can reverse placings with the fourth filly home, Juniper Berries, who was then 7th when Beenham was 6th in the Newbury Super Sprint.

Beenham (drawn 11 today) had won here at Goodwood in May on softish ground, two lengths up on Haatem, winner of yesterday’s Group-2 Vintage Stakes on Day 1 here.

Make It Easy (out of stall 12) was second at Windsor to one who scored again next time; tshe then won easily at Catterick, turning over the favourite who came back to winning form at odds on the last day.

BETDAQ value: 5.6 Flora Of Bermuda, 8 Beenham, 17 Make It Easy

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
