FOLLOW THE CAMBRIDGESHIRE STATS ABC: After his successful stats guides to the St Legers and the Ayr Gold Cup, Daqman has a big fish at the top of the swim in his Cambridgeshire ABC.

AND FOLLOW THE MONEY AT GOODWOOD: Daqman was right on his winner-a-day target when Gemini (WON 3-1) yesterday followed up his Monday supernap, Faro Angel (WON 4-6). He’s at Goodwood this afternoon for a nap gambled in from 6.0 to 3.9 on BETDAQ this morning.

JUMPIN’ CATFISH! FRANKIE TOPS

3.40 Newmarket Saturday CAMBRIDGESHIRE
A Aged three to five (12 out of 13)
B All bar one carried 9st 5lb or less (22 years)
C Had won on turf over 1m 2f (75%)
D Three to seven runs that season (100%)
E Trained Charlton, Elsworth, Gosden, Prescott, Tregoning
X Trainer in form

ABCDEX Wissahickon*

Frankie Dettori is booked for this unexposed sort, half-brother to Rainbow View (Oaks fourth and Group 1 winner at Leopardstown 2009). Had only six outings (121101), failing to run to form only once when beaten favourite on the July Course (*A Philadelphia village from the Indian word for catfish)

ABCDX Daira Prince

Three out of five since gelded, and loves a fast pace. Could just squeeze into the foot of the handicap.

ABCDX Mordin

Lightly raced, consistent with figures of 111222 until raised to class 2 at York. Had a break and returned with good run at Sandown, back in class 3; just pipped.

ABCD Danceteria

Has raced just nine times, including four wins in a row since June, hiking his rating 26lb. Things didn’t go right at the Curragh on the last day but he finished strongly.

ABCD Escalator

Ladbrokes Handicap win at Glorious Goodwood, three from five since June, sequence spoiled by defeat at Ascot when ‘not right,’ and no show again on the last day.

ABCD Euro Nightmare

Interesting dropped from the Pattern. Finished close up in two Group-3 races and ran in the Lancashire Oaks. Second and third she beat in a Listed at Ayr are winners at that level.

ABCD Kings Gift

Useful juvenile, ran in Royal Lodge and Horris Hill, but almost two lean years until winning a handicap at Ayr last month, fifth run since gelded.

ABCX UAE Prince

Quirky sort, fourth in the John Smiths Cup last July. Runner-up in a big field on reappearance in May but not seen since. Needs a career best.

ABC Aasheq

Still paying for hat trick at a lower level in the Spring but seemed to bounce back on the last day. Acts on any going. Likes to front-run.

ABDEX Stylehunter

Unexposed after only seven starts, but placed every race after his debut, 322101, except for missing out on the Britannia (sixth), needing a stronger gallop and another quarter-mile. Could creep in at the foot of the handicap.

ABDEX Tricorn

Hat-trick in Spring of 2017 and third of 29 in the Britrannia has kept him high in the ratings ever since but stayed on strongly at Chelmsford (1m) in first-time hood.

ABDX Original Choice

Modest strike rate. Best run when third to Seniority and Poet’s Society in the Goodwood Golden Mile in August, after third to Alfarris (10f) on the same course.

ABDX Zwayyan

A mile with cut in the ground brings out the best in him. In first four 11 times from 12 races, but slow progress, up only 7lb since July last year.

ABD Abe Lincoln

Just failed to get up with strong finish in the Britannia of 2016. Poor form on turf since in cheekpieces and with tongue-tie but back-to-back wins on AW at the start of this year.

ABD Kenya

All wins at 7f-1m with cut in the ground, following up Irish Cambridgeshire with Group 2 second. Finished last in each of two attempts at today’s trip.

ABD Keyser Soze

Useful last Spring (2-2 over 7f)) and this (close third Newbury Spring Cup) but has failed to go on, though unlucky favourite Victoria Cup, beaten four lengths, left six at the start.

ABD Kynren

Placed seven starts out of eight and hat-trick winner in 2017. Spring Mile third this year then third again in the John Smiths on his only start around this kind of trip.

BD Raising Sand

Has run mainly at Ascot, winner on Shergar Cup day last year, and seventh (second in group) in this year’s Royal Hunt Cup after missing the break.

ABD Sabador

Victoria Cup (7f) fourth, beaten less than a length, and back to form three weeks ago, staying on strongly, less than a length off big improver Rip Orff, also Ascot, also 7f. Breeding suggests this is a hidden horse at the trip.

ABD Via Serendipity

Always runs well in the big handicaps, including fifth Victoria Cup and fourth Ascot International, but races off highest mark in consequence.

ABE Blue Mist

Won on the debut but a bridesmaid after with 2322 form figures in just the four starts. Second to Wissahickon at Chelmsford in receipt of a stone.

ABX Very Talented

Just seven races in four years, including third in the 2016 Cambridgeshire. Not raced since until comfort able all-the-way win at Chelmsford nine days ago.

AB Humbert

All wins on AW but second in the Doncaster Spring Mile and in the Newbury Spring Cup. Lightly raced since and ‘could be anything’ look about it.

AB Waarif

Class-4 performer until officially improved 15lb this season with four wins over a mile on ground from firm to heavy. Tough assignment now.

AB What’s The Story

Fourth in the Royal Hunt Cup and sixth in the John Smith’s Cup but disappointed tried in blinkers at Galway (not clear run at one stage). Won at Doncaster closing meeting last November and that’s his probable target again.

ACDX Pivoine

Four wins on top of the ground at 1m 2f or so, including big-field defeat of Alfarris and Banditry at York last month, going clear. Pulled out because of bad ground on Saturday.

ACD Alfarris

Three wins out of 10, never out of the the first four since his debut. Consistent at this kind of trip and 1212 sequence this term has prompted 17lb rise.

AC Seniority

Three wins from four starts, Spring and summer (upped 15lb), including defeat of Poet’s Society in Goodwood Golden Mile. Won at 1m 3f plus as a three-year-old.

ADX Mountain Hunter

Seen only once since good start to the year in Meydan, hampered fifth (1m 2f) at Doncaster after 196 days off.

ADX Sharja Bridge

Raised 7lb for being beaten over CD in May and two runs only since. Still unexposed and good fourth to Poet’s Society and Kynren at York last month (1m), Afaak behind.

AD Afaak

Big, imposing sort, runner-up in the Royal Hunt Cup but behind Alfarris at Goodwood and Poet’s Society at York.

BCDX Banditry

Always good for an autumn handicap but this one is aiming high and I’d rather wait for his next hurdles start.

BCDX Restorer

Winner just once since Listed CD scorer in October 2015. Well beaten by Danceteria on the July Course in August.

BCD Gulf Of Poets

Back-to-back wins over a mile on the soft in the Spring. Shown nothing since but still 8lb higher than last winning mark.

BD Via Via

Winner over 7f twice; best after a long break. Sixth in the Lincoln Handicap but failed to build on that and it took first-time blinkers to grab him a place on the last day. Races awkwardly.

CD Circus Couture

Tough campaigner, 26 times placed from 32 starts. Third in the Royal Hunt Cup but switch to Group and Graded races since a bit ambitious at age of six.

ELSWORTH LORD OF THE DANCE

3.05 Goodwood It used to be a 50-mile West to East drive for David Elsworth to Goodwood from Whitsbury. A year ago he sent Lady Dancealot down from Newmarket to his old stamping ground and she landed a CD gamble on the soft.

She’s been a bridesmaid since but, at BETDAQ 5.5 offers, is worth a last chance today, back at Goodwood, back on the soft, and after several other indicators which suggest that all is not lost: she’s been tried at Listed level, was favourite on the last day and has three times been within a couple of lengths of the winner in better quality races.

Favourites in front of her are Iconic Knight (form figures at Goodwood 00) for Ed Walker (out of form with a 1-27 strike rate) and Mullionheir.

Mullionheir’s only good 6f efforts in three years – a win and a second – have both come in the wide open spaces of Ascot. He was once third at Goodwood over 7f, unable to get to the winner. His trainer John Best has now gone 100 days without success on the Flat.

Of course, star of Elzie’s Sir Prancealot sired team (there’s also Madam Dancealot and Lady Prancealot) is Sir Dancealot, who has stashed away £455,000 after Group 2 and 3 victories this season, including the Lennox Stakes at Goodwood.

PICK UP THE GOODWOOD THREAD

3.35 Goodwood Middleham trainer Mark Johnston today sends one horse down to his favourite track, Goodwood, with form figures of 110010. That’s the trainer not the horse, whose bare form recently is less inspiring: 0004.

But before that Threading, a course winner here on soft, divided four-in-a-row Alpha Centauri and Nassau-placed Veracious in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot with the 1,000 Guineas winner, Billesdon Brook, in fourth.

Colonial Classic is back after a break for a wind op. Like Canberra Cliffs and First Sitting, he’s already won at Goodwood over a middle distance.

But the market says that only the disappointing Gabr (will a tongue-tie do the trick?) stands in the way of Threading (6.0 in to 3.9 on BETDAQ this morning).

FOLLOWING HAGGAS AT REDCAR

3.25 and 3.55 Redcar William Haggas boasts a fabulous 45% strike rate up at Redcar and his two-year-olds, Stylish Motion (3.25) and Alkaamel (3.55), were 5.1 and 9.4 respectively on BETDAQ against ordinary opposition. I’ll bet one of them wins and throw in a single-unit double in case both do.

DAQMAN’S BETS
BET 4.4pts win LADY DANCEALOT (3.5 Goodwood)
BET 6.6pts win (nap) THREADING (3.35 Goodwood)
BET 5pts win STYLISH MOTION (3.25 Redcar), if lose 3pts win ALKAAMEL (3.55 Redcar), and 1pt win double the two on DAQ MULTIPLES
