ANOTHER WINNING DAQMAN NAP: Daqman raised the red flag yesterday as a warning that he remains in form, with a winning nap to follow his big-odds BETDAQ strike with Ask Her Out at 18.0 on Monday.
Tuesday: another nap up
WON 2-1 RED MAIDS
Monday: profit on the day 16.90
WON 7-1 ASK HER OUT BETDAQ 18.0 (XSP 12.3)
WON 6-4 CARAWAY
Saturday big-race double
WON 8 -1 KANDOO KID
WON 4-1 IMPOSE TOI
🗓️ TODAY: Daqman takes an early look at Saturday’s Tingle Creek.
🗓️ TOMORROW: More two-milers.
IT LOOKS EASY FOR JONBON
â• 3.00 Sandown, Saturday (Tingle Creek Chase) Nicky Henderson, who wins this with hotpot favourites like Jonbon, will be glad there is no Paul Nicholls runner to spoil the party by doing a repeat Politologue (2017 and 2020) or springing a surprise (9-1 Dodging Bullets 2014 and 12-1 Greaneteen 2021).
The other Tingle Creek winners fit neatly into the stats of 6yo to 8yo and 30-100 to 100-30, excepting Edwardstone.
But the nine-lengths 2022 winner, Edwardstone (good to soft), was beaten almost three lengths by Jonbon on heavy last year,
Quilixios made it three out of six over fences (two on soft, one on good), including success as a beginner over 2m 3f.
He is still officially 5lb behind Boothill, who was second to Jonbon in the Shloer last month, with Edwardstone only third and Unexpected Party fourth.
And Quilixios, JPR One and Master Chewy (fell 2 out) all flopped in last year’s Arkle. Solness has twice been Grade-2 placed.
KINETIC OAKS TRIAL SHOCK
â• 1.20 Lingfield (Winter Oaks Trial) The one-two in this trial last year finished one-two in the Winter Oaks itself in January.
The Crisfords who trained the winner from down the handicap now field the topweight, Charlotte’s Web, though Sean Bowen’s claim gives her a bit of respite.
Such a burden was no problem for the Night Of Thunder filly in winning back to back on Tapeta at Wolverhampton and Newcastle but she must now face opposition two grades higher on Polytrack.
Elladonna went a bit early under Joe Leavy here two weeks back and was just run out of it; she should at least run to form (trainer James Fanshawe’s RTF in the Racing Post is 100%).
Finley Marsh might want to set them a target on Therapist, a Nicky Henderson hurdler with 10.5 BETDAQ offers, and George Boughey’s Timeless Charm could improve for first-time cheekpieces.
But there are three-year-olds almost a stone lower and that’s where last year’s winner came from.
I’m drawn to Kinetic, another who stays further; 4-5 in the summer, a very easy winner at Southwell, and now back within 2lb of that winning mark. The 46.0 on BETDAQ is plain wrong.
* Another trainer today with a 100% RTF is Ralph Beckett but he has six chances at Kempton and Lingfield; he’ll surely strike somewhere.
SKELTONS RELY ON INFANTRY
â• 2.15 Haydock Dan Skelton had two boxes heading for Ludlow this morning but he and jockey Harry make a solo raid on Haydock for a horse they describe as having a big future.
Point, bumpers and hurdle, Royal Infantry has set up 4-5, quietly preparing for better things, including a win in mud at Newbury similar to the glue at Haydock today.
This entire field won last time out but Lass De La Blairie and Parisian Fashion have long absence to overcome.
Circuit Breaker cost 260,000gns and was an easy hurdles winner at Kempton on good ground and may need a trip closer to the 2m 5f of that day.
Crest of Fortune is also down in trip from his 2m 4f win at Ffos Las, and Monaco Rules makes his English debut for a stable currently showing form of 1-18.
CLOUDY GLEN DROP IN GRADE
â• 2.45 Haydock Cloudy Glen was running well for Venetia Williams in Graded chases at this time a year ago, including fifth in the Newbury Gold Cup.
Goes well fresh and is one-time winner of the Ladbroke Trophy, also at Newbury, at around today’s trip.
Haydock has not been a course to suit Good Boy Bobby, and Empire Steel’s chase successes have all been short of 3m. Smarty Wild and The Two Amigos have been absent more than 600 days.
All Omar Maretti’s winning form is in the early part of the year and his yard has gone 20 runners in the last month without a strike.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
