PROFIT-A-DAY DAQMAN LANDS ANOTHER WINNING NAP: Last week Daqman served three aces in two days, a Thursday-Friday three naps out of three for 44 points profit. It’s a game of poker this week and Daqman is the grinder, with narrow profits each day on carefully-staked selections, including another nap.

Tuesday: 2.6pts profit on the day
WON 6-4 MANILA SCOUSE (nap)

Monday: 2pts profit on the day
WON 100-30 MUJTABA

STRADIVARIUS STAYS IN TRAINING: John and Thady Gosden think they can still get a tune out of Stradivarius, so he stays in training next year for three races, mainly aiming at the Ascot Gold Cup, but hoping to pick up an eighth Group 1 somewhere along the way.

DAQMAN RATES THE CLASSIC COLTS: The European two-year-old tests are all done and next year’s stars of the Classics and other big races seem sure to concern one or more from Daqman’s ratings: his three-year-old colts of 2022. Tomorrow: the fillies.

BLUE – BUT WHICH ONE?

⭕ 1.05 Nottingham I’m starting with a race I’m NOT having a bet in. The opener at Nottingham sees a whole host of potential decent horses and it certainly looks worth a watch.

Godolphin dominate the BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE market with Goodwood third Island Brave (Saeed bin Suroor) and the well backed debutant Kalahari Prince (Charlie Appleby) propping up the market but both trainers have well bred second strings in the race too.

The Boys In Blue also run Honiton, trained by John and Thady Gosden, trading around 22 mid-morning which is a measure of the potential quality of the race which is expected to work out well above average by course standards.

The answer is probably blue – it’s just the shade of cap colour I can’t decide on.

MILTON AT THE DOUBLE?

⭕ 2.05 Fakenham I’m treading carefully with the early season midweek jumps action but was taken with the way Aliomaana dominated at Perth last time out and even more taken by the current form of her trainer Milton Harris who is doing an early season John Jenkins (for older readers) with six winners from his last 17 runners.

Aliomaana made all at Perth for a 29 length success and can see off the principal challenged expected to come from Ramure.

⭕ 4.15 Taunton Milton Harris might  well strike at Taunton too with Fire Lake in the closing bumper. She was a big drifter in the market on debut at Ludlow but made the favourite Martha Willow pull out all of the stops going down by just a neck.

ANOTHER GREAT CHANCE FOR GODOLPHIN

⭕ 5.45 Kempton I started the day with a Godolphin quandary at Nottingham but things should be simpler here with their sole runner Great Hunter who followed up a promising debut at Chelmsford by winning well at Newcastle earlier this month. He made all that day and won readily. He should also be suited by the step back up to seven furlongs.

Saeed bin Suroor’s runner will probably need to improve again to defy his penalty but that looks distinctly possible. The clear danger is Substantial from the in-form William Haggas yard. He was entitled to need the run at Newcastle on his first run for a year earlier this month. The jockey said he ran too free that day and I’d probably have been sweeter on his chances with the first time application of some head gear but in the absence of that will stick with Great Hunter as today’s nap.

DAQMAN’S BETS (staked to win 10 points)
BET 4.5pts win ALIOMAANA (2.05 Fakenham)
BET 3.7pts win FIRE LAKE (4.15 Taunton)
BET 10.0pts win (nap) GREAT HUNTER (5.45 Kempton)

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
