FINE WINNER FOR DAQMAN PROFIT: Daqman made a profit of 7.70 points with one hit from two bets yesterday, Just Fine (WON 100-30), ready winner at Leicester in the royal colours of King Charles. His nap was a non-runner at the abandoned Huntingdon meeting.

TODAY: LOOKING AHEAD TO THE GUINEAS: It’s Day 2 of Daqman’s ratings for the two-year-olds of 2022, ahead of the colts’ big test in the Dewhurst at Newmarket on Saturday, a race that’s launched Guineas winners over the years.

LIEBER TO POWER HOME

⭕ 6.25 Kempton A novice event which looks the match that the Betdaq Betting Exchange leads us to believe.

Supreme King has the most experience but isn’t one I want to side with. The Richard Hannon trained runner has been a beaten favourite in two of his three races and seemingly took a step backwards last time out at Leicester when only fifth of six (4/6 FAV) – the trainer’s representative blaming both the good to firm ground and undulating track. I always get slightly worried when two factors are blamed and it might just be that he wasn’t good enough.

I prefer to stick with the Andrew Balding trained Lieber Power who made a perfectly satisfactory debut at Newbury when finishing in midfield and should come on plenty. It’s interesting to note he holds an entry for next year’s Derby and has also been entered for a race at York on Saturday which shows connections are keen to get a run in and this now looks the preferred option.

The Derby entry indicates he must be held in quite high regard and should be winning a Kempton novice event with some ease if those aspirations are to be maintained.

BLINKERS TO HELP SHIBLI

⭕ 7.00 Kempton I’m hoping Richard Hannon will have more luck here in this class 3 event with Al Shibli who is fitted with blinkers for the first time.

He looked unlucky last time out at Wolverhampton when beaten 1/2 length, despite being short of room a furlong out. That run didn’t go unnoticed by the handicapper who has raised him three pounds so we need the blinkers to work their magic and hopefully eke out some additional improvement.

It’s really competitive but Al Shibli has fared well with a draw in 12 – not so good though for the well-backed The Turpinator who comes out of box three.

The Turpinator was a nose winner when last running here but is now 6lb higher and has something to prove having generally run below par on the turf since.

WORLD TO LIFT CUP

⭕ 8.30 Kempton Another tricky heat to finish with but I liked the look of You Are My World who has been given a chance by the handicapper of following up her shock course and distance win last time out.

She’s only been put up 2lb for winning what looked a better contest than this and I think she can reach a podium finish.

The danger could be the lightly raced Fiscal Policy who is open to improvement on his first start handicapping off what could be a generous mark.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
