BLIND BET AT 5.1 ON BETDAQ
â 3.08 Nottingham today Nottingham is not a winning track for Declan Carroll but, if that prompts you to oppose his four-year-old in this, I suggest strong reasons for a Changeofmind, particularly at Betdaq Betting Exchange offers (9.3 taken)
Six of Carrollâs last nine runners have been placed, two of them winners and the jockey today, Paul Mulrennan, has had a great season, topping ÂŁ1.2m in earnings and only five short of 100 winners.
Changeofmind was just half a length away from victory last time the ground was heavy which was also the last time he was dropped to class 3.
He had operated at Listed level last year, when Carroll described him as âexciting.â It didnât last and his being gelded tells part of the reason why.
Winner-a-year Makanah is nine now and has had his win. Hyperfocus, even older at 10, is a bigger danger, still able to put two wins together on soft-heavy in the summer.
But my second choice is Blind Beggar (BETDAQ 5.1), whose form on heavy is 112. He beat Silky Wilkie at Bath in the Spring.
Rossa Ryanâs ride, Moulin Booj, has class-4 and class-5 wins and Fantasy Master is also up in grade here. It desnât mean they wonât win; it means they have less chance of winning and chance is what betting is all about.
SKELTON? CANâT CATCH HIM!
â 3.30 Newton Abbot Since Dan Skelton landed a hat-trick last Wednesday, heâs had eight more winners, with Harry steering all 11 strikes by the Warwick yard.
My pick of their day today is Catch Him Derry, who has progressed 21lb this year, from success in class 5 up to this class-3 level, but with Dan daring:
âAfter his rest, weâll still go quietly, as I remember him as a wayward baby and how he grew to love being competitive. Heâs on our side so we will look after himâ.
Shallow River has his first race for Olly Murphy and is partnered by Sean Bowen for the first time.
He broke a two-year drought when winning at Exeter on heavy at the start of the year, ultimately not disgraced at Cheltenham (class 2) in April.
THEY DIDNâT KEEP LIGHT DARK
â 6.00 Kempton Charlie Appleby has swerved Saturdayâs cut in the ground at Newmarket with Season Of Light, a Too Darn Hot filly for whom Newmarket was too darn soft a month ago.
Newmarket work-watchers couldnât keep Light dark after a recent gallop so she has been well supported this morning.
Some 26 of the stableâs 33 runners at Kempton this year have been placed, including 13 wins (33%) and youâd be surprised to know that Dougie Costello is its second highest scorer with 35% when William Buick is not available.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
