DAQMAN THE VIKTOR HITS 28 POINTS: Daqman landed two winners out of three yesterday, including his nap at 9-4, for a profit of 28.30 on the day. It gave him six winners in four days, two of them nap strikes.

Tuesday
WON 11-2 GAYE LEGACY
WON 9-4 KING VIKTOR (nap)

Monday
WON 11-8 SEEFIN (3.0 taken on BETDAQ)

Sunday
WON 6-4 NURSE SUSAN (4.2 taken on BETDAQ)

Saturday
WON 6-1 FANTASTIC FOX (8.1 taken on BETDAQ)
WON 11-8 OH SO GRAND (nap)

IN SEARCH OF THAT BETDAQ VALUE: Daqman searches three meetings for value today; finds some lays logic (2.15 Lingfield), a progressive nap (4.00 Lingfield) and two win and place bets

STUMP UP FOR TWO BETS

⭕ 2.00 Chepstow James Jet or Pulling Stumps? James Jet has had only one chase and won it all out, but his pedigree suggests that this step up in trip will improve him.

He needed a break after two heavy-ground wins late last year and should now be ready to continue his progress, with Harry Cobden taking over.

James Jet is a Yeats out of a mare who gives him a close relationship with 3m and 3m 2f chase winners. BETDAQ 4.3.

Cobden rode the winner, a Cheltenham entry, when Pulling Stumps was second at Newbury. A descendant of Kayf Tara, Pulling Stumps is dropped in class but therefore has to carry a stone more in weight. BETDAQ 3.4

Bells Of Peterboro has had a lot of chasing experience without making his mark, while Great Name That and So Said I have to improve on what they’ve done so far.

GALLOPIN FACES THE GUN

⭕ 2.15 Lingfield Tyler Heard has won on two out of four rides for Mark Usher in the last week in which he finished 2113. It brought his tally for the stable to 19 placed in the first four from 38 rides.

His mount here, Monks Mead, gets 22lb from the hot favourite, Galloping On, who has run second in two races which have produced nothing from the placed horses since.

Contrast the form of Loaded Gun’s Lingfield race when he split two last-time winners.

Also against Galloping On is the poor form of Clive Cox’s string; no win for nearly 10 weeks from 14 runners.

There are several plays here: you can lay Galloping On at 1.89 this morning, or back big value about Loaded Gun at 5.1 and/or Monks Mead at 7.2. Or all three. I like the idea of two running for me in a five-horse race.

ELLISON’S POTTER PLOT

⭕ 2.25 Catterick Brian Ellison, who landed my nap yesterday, provided a rare winner of this race, the four-year-old Nietzsche, gambled on off bottomweight after scoring the week before.

He tries the trick again today with another recent winner who gets weight from all bar two, thanks to the four-year-old allowance. It’s Captain Potter’s handicap debut at BETDAQ 9.7 for a win-and-place bet.

Herakles Westwood stays further and is on a hat-trick, getting 11lb from Autumn Return, a mare taking on the boys and giving them all weight. But she is 2-2 over this trip under Brian Hughes. Both are good savers.

DESTINATION DESTINADO ..

⭕ 4.00 Lingfield I tipped Mucuna at Southwell last week but was on a favourite beaten easily by Destinado and the burgeoning James Owen stable; Aidan Keeley in the saddle. That tells me to follow up so I’ll stick with them for the day’s nap.

WORTH A GLANCE AT 8.2

⭕ 7.30 Kempton Ralph Beckett’s last bid for a debut winner was Divine Breath, leaned on and pipped just half a length at Chelmsford last week.

Silent Glance has even stronger claims. Her daddy, four-times Group-1 winning sprinter, Bated Breath, won his first three starts; her dam, Marju, won her first two.

Miss Monte Carlo was beaten only a short-head on debut, but I wonder what value the form had: the winner at 150-1 was giving her 20lb; the third was 100-1 and the fourth 50-1.

Hail The Flag ran well at Wolverhampton and should appreciate the step up in trip (College Choir, stone last, now has blinkers). Ortigia finished in rear at Kempton in mid-December.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
