DAQMAN IN FRONT WITH 3-1 NAP: Daqman shaded a profit yesterday, thanks to the staking plan, with a 3-1 nap (better on BETDAQ, of course) the one worth waiting for.
WON 3-1 MOUNT RUAPEHU (nap, BETDAQ XSP 4.68)
LUDLOW LEVEL SUITS LEGEND
⭕ 1.45 Ludlow (passed inspection): Venetia Williams has Ludlow top of her list for winners, and she’s back in good form with four strikes in a week’s racing.
Last year, Hunter Legend had a winning sequence of 3-4, starting in this month.
Clearly returning with high hopes, he was aimed at the Grade-3 November Gold Cup at Cheltenham and a class-2 at Newbury.
He’s now down in a level which accords to his comfort zone, and he has the rain to help him dispose of the good-ground winner Neon Moon and Destroytheevidence who has failed to emerge from novice class.
MULLINS ON THE ROAD AGAIN
⭕ 2.33 Newbury Every little helps. That seems to be what we can expect from Willie Mullins, as he goes out shopping for bargains in his title defence.
Yesterday at Catterick, he landed £2,450 for an 11-8-on bumper winner, Clay Pigeons. And today he’s on the road in England again.
Road To Home would be his third winner of the current season, adding just £10,562. Off 129, he is giving weight all round on 12st, but is down on his rating when third at Doncaster over more than half a mile further.
Jane Williams, who won this Merry Christmas Chase last year, saddles Knight Of Allen today. Steps up from novice company and needs to improve on his sole chase start but back to his winning trip over hurdles.
Never out of the first four in 10 races since his debut, Don’t Tell Su was disappointing in his only chase last March; he’s been on holiday since so a problem may have revealed itself.
But his new handler, Nicky Henderson, taking over from Paul Nicholls, will want to show that he’s the man to find the improvement.
Peso is lightly raced: won here 10 lengths over hurdles a year or so back and makes his chasing debut now.
Fine Casting on the other hand has had a 28-race career: hadn’t won for nearly three years (hurdles) when a recent Bangor winner (fences)
COUL KEMPTON TREBLE BID
⭕ 5.40 Kempton A cracking contest with in-form horses, So Darn Hot, Berkshire Whisper and Hucklesbrook drawn 2, 3, 4.
While they are watching each other, and attempting fine judgement of pace, I fancy two to come from behind.
Coul Angel goes for a Kempton hat-trick but with Robert Havlin already three in a row on him, landing a gamble on turf at Newmarket in September before back-to-back November strikes here at Kempton.
Heathcliff looked set to beat him the last day but, despite taking a bump, Coul Angel got the better of their finish and I don’t think a pound difference in the weights will change their power struggle. Betdaq Betting Exchange 7.3.
So Darn Hot is up in the weights and has changed trainers and Berkshire Whisper was headed close home by a 40-1 shot at Southwell last time.
My second fancy at a price is Bolo Neighs, third in a Listed at York after a runaway win at the Curragh. BETDAQ 32.0 (5.4 three places).

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
