FOUR WINNING BETS OUT OF SEVEN IN TWO DAYS FOR DAQMAN: Daqman made it four returns from seven bets this week (57% strike rate) with John Clare (WON 7-4) yesterday. Today his staking plan in three races at Nottingham would give him a ‘break even’ at worst with just one winner.

WILLIE WANTS FOUR SO HE’S BOOKED UP CESAREWITCH RIDERS: Willie Mullins has already jockeyed up five horses in an attempt to win Saturday’s Cesarewitch at Newmarket for a fourth consecutive time.

MULDOON IS THE MULLINS GAMBLE

⭕ 3.35 Newmarket, Saturday (Cesarewitch Handicap) All eyes are on Willie Mullins today. How many of his ELEVEN probables for the Cesarewitch at Newmarket will get into the field on Saturday for the stable attempt at FOUR wins in a row. FIVE of them are already jockeyed up.

Low Sun was hardly under the radar before landing a gamble for the Mullins yard in 2018 after scoring in a big handicap at the Galway Festival.

But stablemate Stratum, down the field that day and said not to like it too soft, was a surprise to many when scoring on soft ground off a big weight the following year!

Then 12 months ago Great White Shark became Willie’s third consecutive Galway runner to go on and grab the £50,000 Cesarewitch bait.

The trio also had something else in common: a high draw, in keeping with previous results which now look like this in the last six seasons: winner by stall 15, 23, 24, 13, 20, 20.

Great White Shark (Jason Watson) Just when English trainers thought they might go back into the water with their own big punts (Big Easy 2014, Sweet Selection 2016 and Withhold 2017 were all 10-1 or less), the Shark is here again.

He has won off lay-offs of 59 and 71 days but hasn’t been seen since March (110 days ago), and the money has been for M C Muldoon.

M C Muldoon (Ryan Moore). Mullins has described him as a grand type of horse who does nothing but gallop, as he did in a Galway novice hurdle at the Ballybrit festival in July.

Burning Victory (William Buick) The Triumph Hurdle winner at Cheltenham last year, has won 2-2 handicaps on the Flat since June; sandwiched in between was seventh in a Galway hurdle.

Foveros (Ray Dawson) A hurdles winner at the nig Galway meeting in 2019 came to hand on the Flat early this year, winning a handicap at the Curragh, before being run down in the final strides of a big-field 60,000-euro handicap at.. yes, the Galway Festival.

Whisky Sour (David Egan) Seen on a racecourse only once in 883 days when fourth in a big-field hurdle at the Punchestown Festival, his last Flat run was when third in the 2019 Chester Cup.

Dark Voyager, Exchange Rate, Maze Runner, N’golo, Micro Manage and My Sister Sarah are also trained W Mullins.

STAY INDOORS TO FOLLOW BETDAQ

⭕ 2.30 Nottingham Alan King, for long associated only with the Jumps, has been beating the top Flat trainers at their own game in recent seasons with a select bunch of performers on the level.

None more so than Trueshan, gradually raised 30lb in ability until his crowning moments: British Long Distance Champion a year ago and now star of all Europe after beating the English (Stradivarius), French (Bubble Smart) and Irish (Princess Zoe) in Saturday’s Cadran (French Gold Cup).

Her Indoors is another work in progress at Barbary Castle, ‘tough as nails’, and in my diary for a classy 4YO hurdle at Chepstow on Friday.

But, when the Raven’s Pass filly won a Grade-3 fillies’ juvenile at Cheltenham in the Spring, Kingy promised he would switch her to the Flat before her winter hurdles programme.

No wonder. She is rated 58lb lower on the Flat which, in my estimation of comparative poundage ability between the two disciplines, has her around a stone in hand of the Flat handicapper.

Three-year-olds are in the majority, and they front the market, but no second-season animal has won this race; last year a lone four-year-old scored when the rest of the field were three-year-olds. BETDAQ value: 4.8 Her Indoors.

⭕ 4.15 Nottingham Sharvara looks a bet here. By Kingman out of a Galileo mare related to speed and stamina, he has improved with every race and step up in trip. Made all and went clear on the soft the last day.

BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE 4.6 Sharvara

THALER’S THE ONE FOR THE OLD FIRM

⭕ 6.30 Kempton Who would you reckon is Ryan Moore’s top trainer numerically in England these days? He’s ridden 119 winners for the stable in the last five years with a very supportable strike rate of 22%.

Ryan’s association with Sir Michael Stoute goes way back before the Ballydoyle connection and still holds good, though Stoute gets only 50 or 60 winners a year.

Thaler is a Dubawi related to Group winners, returning to 7f after an impressive win over six, which earned him a 90 mark. Moore has ridden him just the once so far when beaten over seven but, in hindsight, doing extremely well.

The winner, Storm Damage, went straight into the Pattern at Royal Ascot, has won three out of four, and now rates 108 after back-to-back wins on the July Course.

The only worry today is a steamer trained by Michael Wigham. It’s a gambling stable and Sanaadh (14-1 to 6-1) has no recent form of note. The two often go together.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
