LAURINA SET TO CEMENT CHAMPION HURDLE CHALLENGE: Laurina is the latest star from the Daqman Fortune Cookies, which are showing 635 points profit. She’s unlikely to add much to these profits in the Quevega Hurdle today but can confirm that she’s a live Champion Hurdle hope against the hot-pots. You could get 5.4 for Cheltenham this morning in the BETDAQ ante-post orange.

HELLO DOLLY! SHE’S BETDAQ 100.0
1.30 Punchestown Un De Sceaux was a famous winner of this first time over hurdles (2013) but it’s not Willie Mullins, rather Joseph O’Brien, who is likely to have the favourite. Probably a lot to do with his fantastic new-year form (10 winners in the last fortnight alone).
Galilean, obviously a son of the great Galileo, was a nursery winner on the Flat for Aidan O’Brien but he has a tough task for Joseph, as have three others in the race, giving up to a stone or so to the mares in the field.
The Mullins hope, Allez Dance, is one of those getting the weight, and five-year-olds have won three in a row (and six in the decade).
But Dance badly needs to allez, showing no form at all for 21 months and, as a French import, is used to soft-heavy ground.
I shall have a pound, and promise myself to follow her future, on the grey Try Dollys Sister from last year’s winning stable and bred in the jumping purple, by Kalanisi out of a Roselier mare, related to such a string of classy winners I couldn’t possibly list them all here. Yet 100.0 early mouse in the BETDAQ orange.
2.05 Punchestown No offence, but it’s Insult for you here. By a sire whose progeny have their best stats on firmish ground, Insult chased home stablemate Mormon (Rachael Blackmore) in a Tramore maiden on soft, with the third horse home scoring twice since.
Rachael now switches to Insult with her jockeys’ title rival, Paul Townend, on stable companion, Big Nick. Insult, Paul, or can you Nick it?
LAURINA THE QUEVEGA QUEEN
2.40 Punchestown (Quevega Mares Hurdle) Willie Mullins hat-trick in this race includes the mighty Annie Power off 162, on her way to Champion Hurdle glory (2016).
Now here’s the unbeaten hurdler, Laurina, 7lb behind her at this stage, but already judged 10lb better than Closutton’s 2017 winner, Limini.
Limini was the Mullins second string when she won, which applies today to Stormy Ireland, who has twice slammed another contender here, Good Thyne Tara, just as Alletrix has twice been swamped by Laurina.
3.15 Punchestown If Insult wins earlier, it would be a pointer to Mormon after their one-two at Tramore, but don’t forget that the third horse home, Moratorium, has scored twice since, and could be even better here stepped up in trip. I took 6.8 on BETDAQ.
Brosna George will appreciate the ground but is 25lb higher now than for the start of his winning sequence which was spoiled and made three from four when he fell two out. The venue that day? Punchestown.
DANCER IS BACK IN THE SWING
3.00 Ludlow Difficult to train; hard to win with. That’s Flashing Glance, and I’m hoping Stylish Dancer (in receipt of 15lb) can come back after a lay-off, returned to his winning trip with conditions right for him. A bit to win (12.0 BETDAQ early mouse) and a bit more to place.
3.25 Doncaster This is a solid class-3, with Dans Le Vent well up to it on form, fourth in a class 2 and in a Graded race. Court Liability has struck form at this trip and on this ground before a fair try at class 2 company on the last day.
4.30 Doncaster Paul Nicholls can add to his 12 winners in the last fortnight, with Wonderful Charm plummeting four grades to the level of his very cheeky win at Fontwell lst Spring. Has won no fewer than SIX times after a break.
