SALLAAL FOR THE HAT-TRICK

⭕ 3.35 Sandown The Frankel colt Sallaal, only around 10-1 for the Cambridgeshire, has a Group-1 entry on British champions Day in October.

In fact, his trainer, Roger Varian, used success in this race to go on with Bayside Boy to the mile championship Queen Elizabeth 11 Stakes. which he won at 33-1.

While Sallaal is on the way up, Chantilly Lace already has experience of two Group-1 events, not disgraced on firm ground though a winner on heavy as a juvenile.

Her stable won this last year with a three-year-old. This is an obvious saver but I’m holding my nerve and taking Sallaal for my naps hat-trick.

THE LION’S SHARE AT LAST

⭕ 4.00 Yarmouth With three exceptions, winners come out of stalls 1, 2, 3, 4 (giving us 7-10).

That doesn’t help the cause of Team Gosden’s three runners, though I shall take a chance on the grey mare Running Lion, dropped to this Listed from a series of 12 Group races in 16 starts and blinkered first time. BETDAQ 4.5.

She’s been around a bit – her big win was in a Group 2 at Royal Ascot (2024) – whereas stable companions, the royal runner Rainbows Edge and Life Is Beautiful, are younger fillies.

Charlie Appleby won this with a three-year-old in 2023 and Beautiful Love was placed in Springtime Group 2 trials.

⭕ 4.25 Kelso A winner at Carlisle two starts back in late August, The Navigator, who won this race three years ago, returns 22lb lower, including Charlie Maggs 5lb claim. BETDAQ 8.3

ERIN FROM THE RIGHT YARD

⭕ 4.53 Beverley Paul Midgley farms this race, with three wins in five seasons, two of them with Elegant Erin, who is back for more.

He’s won off 79 and 81 and has 82 today. He’s won out of gate 4 and gate 10 and comes from the one stall today. BETDAQ 7.2.

Michael Dods has two well drawn: Emeralds Pride, top weight under Connor Beasley, and three years younger Brazilian Belle, a 10.0 BETDAQ offer under Paul Mulrennan, who won on her at Thirsk in July in the middle of two placed runs here.

LET’S GO INTO COMBAT..

⭕ 5.24 Beverley. First time in a handicap, stepped up in trip. That text is straight from the rule book of maestro trainer Sir Mark Prescott.

It’s a pointer to Into Combat, a Dubawi related to Group-1 winners on the dam’s side. Betdaq Betting Exchange 7.8

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
