SHARJAH CONTINUES DAQMAN CHARGE WITH MORE BETDAQ VALUE: Daqman’s third big Christmas winner in two days yesterday hiked his score against Pricewise to 17-11 with yet another hit, Sharjah, that highlights BETDAQ value.

✅ WON 11-2 SHARJAH (8.3 taken on BETDAQ) yesterday
✅ WON 18-1 THE LONG MILE (Limerick) Monday
✅ WON 11-1 FLOORING PORTER (17.5 on BETDAQ) Leopardstown, Monday

WIN 50 WITH BULL’S-EYE BETS ON THE LINCOLNSHIRE NATIONAL: There’s a National today, always a favourite race for Daqman, but the Lincolnshire version this afternoon is as tricky as a Lincoln Handicap. Daqman bets small stakes at 13.0 and 42.0 to try to land 50 points.

OPEN THE BOX AND GET LUCKY 13.0

⭕ 2.15 Market Rasen (Lincolnshire National) Clear favourites have a poor record (0-9); so do older horses over the age of eight (1-9), and weight-carrying over 11st 4lb (2-9).

1: Who’s In The Box Trainer Nick Kent is hot with 2-4, still standing. The six-year-old 3m Point winner has been placed 2-2 over fences, including runner-up at Wetherby conceding 18lb to the winner.

Races as though a marathon trip would suit, and I took 13.0 on the  BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

2: Cyclop Keep one eye on him. He landed back-to-back wins in the autumn under Lilly Pinchin. He was second in this last year 7lb lower but, when he won it back in 2017, he was 2lb higher than today.

3: Cool Destination Didn’t beat a lot when he won over 3m here in November (good) but it was his first sign of progress for a trainer who does well on this course and, as a 2m 7f hurdles winner, should have the stamina for this. Giving weight all round though.

4: Eureu Du Boulay Back-to-back wins in 2018 (and 10lb lower now), returned to form in France in the summer, with two more side by side on soft. Jockey Jamie Bargary won the Mandarin Chase at Newbury yesterday on Amateur. I took 42.0 to small stakes.

5: Terrierman Beaten a length by Cool Destination in that 3m chase is actually worse off at the weights, and hasn’t won since his maiden, always a bad sign. Step up in trip and cheekpieces may improve his current bridesmaid form of 23302 for the in-form Skeltons.

6: Red Giant Won the Durham National at Sedgefield in October on good ground and all seven wins in his career have come with ‘good’ in the going return (his form on soft is 30020)

7: Optimistic Bias The 2017 winner over this trip at Stratford came back to form in a veterans’ event at Uttoxeter on the last day, 20lb lower including his claim, but is 12 years old in a couple of days’ time.

Lough Derg Farmer Has dropped below his winning mark (in 1-13 over fences) but placed off higher, including on the soft and over further; back to form the last day. Sue Smith a very patient trainer of stayers, but three weeks without a winner.

Sumkindofking Second and third in the North Yorkshire Grand National and the Edinburgh National early in the year, and now 6lb below his last winning mark, though recent form poor.

Nakadam A 4m winner at Hexham on the soft, the 13-times-placed was a remote third in the Scottish Borders National at Kelso the last day.

Polydora Wind Op, cheekpieces and the champion jockey all brought in to revive him. As low as 6-1 for the Mandarin Chase last year, but pulled up twice in last three starts.

Lord Byron Twelve consecutive defeats but placed twice after drop of 10lb since the summer. Trainer and jockey both out of form.

Lithic A bridesmaid who ducks the bouquet. He’s been in the frame 10 times over fences but has never won a chase (0-21).

Dentley De Mee Another flatterer, placed 12 times over hurdles and fences, but with a chase record of 0-15. Sam Twiston-Davies booked.

TALKING ABOUT THIS TIP

⭕ 2.40 Taunton Even more testing at Taunton with heavy ground forecast but at least it goes ahead unlike Haydock today and sadly Cheltenham on New Year’s Day which got the red light earlier this morning.

This is a decent Listed event for mares in which the market leaders tend to do well. There hasn’t been a winner bigger than 11/4 in the last six runnings.

Perfect Myth is favourite on BETDAQ for lady of the moment Bryony Frost but the concern about taking a short price is the ground.

The evidence suggests she isn’t a mudlark and that’s a real worry if you were taking close to odds-on when the market opened and she has drifted since. She was pulled up at Wincanton on her only previous start on heavy and she has not run her best races on soft ground either.

I prefer the chance of Talking About You, even though there is still a ground question mark. She hasn’t tackled heavy yet but was so impressive on soft at Aintree last time out so it’s a fair assumption she will relish conditions here.

Her win at Aintree was also at Listed level and she takes on her elders today but gets the weight allowance.

Will Victory will handle the ground based on her French form and was still running a big race at Newbury before falling three out. She looks a big danger assuming no loss of confidence.

NOT SO WACKY

⭕ 4.05 Wolverhampton Quiteacatch was no match for the favourite It Must Be Faith over 6f here last time but still ran a race full of promise and the step up in trip should help her here.

This doesn’t look the toughest of contests and she is one of the few that can be reasonably expected to improve further.

She looks to have strong claims but Waqaas was a course and distance winner in July and is now 2lb lower. He showed a return to form last time out at Kempton under today’s pilot Isobel Francis and the partnership can go close.

TOOT TOOT FOR TOMMY

⭕ 6.40 Wolverhampton The final race of the day presents a speculative play on Tommytwohoots who is almost the selection by default after his Chelmsford second last time out makes him the clear form pick.

Hanoverian King has gone off at 300/1, 150/1 and 66/1 in his last three starts and hasn’t show much – although this looks easier.

Totem would need to improve for the first time hood.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
