28.0 DAQMAN CHALLENGE TO PRICEWISE: Daqman leads Pricewise 17-8 into four races at York today, in which they are toe-to-toe for another value match, with Daqman’s bets including morning BETDAQ offers at 9.7, 10.5, 12.5 (twice), 16.5 (twice), 28.0

THUNDERING IS THROWN IN

⭕ 1.50 York (1m 4f handicap) Stalls 5, 6, 7, have won six in a row, with every winner in the decade a four-year-old.

So look out for White Wolf – the right age – on the prowl from gate six, first time in cheekpieces, for Saeed Bin Suroor and Oisin Murphy, who teamed up to bag the 1,000 Guineas 10 days back.

Real Dream and Thundering are locked together from their maiden one-two but Thundering, in stall 5 off 90, could be better drawn today and his best form was a narrow defeat in a similar race here at York in August when dividing Farhan (now 100 rated) and Mahrajaan (now 98).

Crystal Delight could be thereabouts but has been going up the handicap for losing (three seconds in a row). Ascot winner at this level, La Yakel should be fit from his Old Rowley Cup fourth.

Betdaq Betting Exchange 10.5 Thundering, 12.5 White Wolf

28.0 GISBURN HAS THE FORM

⭕ 2.25 York (6f handicap) Not a winning favourite in sight during a decade of big-odds winners from huge fields, making it essential to choose bets from low ( stalls 3, 5, 5 have won), middle (8, 11) and high (15, 18, 20, 21).

Gisburn was an unlucky loser, finishing strongly after waiting two furlongs for room, when 6th of 19 in the Coral Sprint here in October. Stall 17 then, 15 now; down 4lb and Hollie Doyle booked.

Bielsa (14) is 7lb lower, with the ride switched to Oisin Murphy, than when 7th in this last year to Dakota Gold (raised 6lb) and Makanah (up 4lb).

Lucky Man (3) was 221 at York – with the win in Class 3 – but then the return to class 2 and a few pounds rise kept him a couple of lengths off the finish.

William Buick could make the difference for Silver Samurai, third in two big sprints at York last season from stalls 4 and 7 and drawn 5 today. Lethal Levi looks good in 2 but has always needed firm ground to score.

BETDAQ value 12.5 Silver Samurai, 16.5 Bielsa, 28 Gisburn

SHE’S YOUR YORK PRINCESS

⭕ 3.00 York (6f Group 2) Carry on sprinting! Only two clear favourites have won this, another tough 6f task for punters, albeit with a smaller field and much better class.

Ascot is a long way Creative Force’s favourite home track; take his British Champions Sprint performances (won in 2021 and third last year) out of the equation, and you have only his Breeders’ Cup third (Highfield Princess fourth) to merit his lofty reputation.

But he has fitness on his side from two small-field preps, one of them a win in fast time at Haydock the last day, despite the softened surface.

Marshman is only three. But that means he gets 9lb from Creative Force and 11lb from Highfield Princess, who is a versatile York-loving mare; she followed up winning this last year by taking the Nunthorpe over the minimum, having scored at Deauville over 6.5f.

Azure Blue has shot up 15lb for a Rowley Mile hat-trick but has been out of the three twice at York.
Emaraaty Anna has been involved in the finishes with Creative Force and Highfield Princess at York and Keeneland but hasn’t won since the 2021 Haydock Sprint Cup.

Aussie ace The Astrologist is being tested here for the Jubilee at Royal Ascot. Art Power needs rain. Commanche Falls needs Goodwood.

BETDAQ value 5.4 Highfield Princess

SOUL MUSIC AT BETDAQ 16.5

⭕ 3.35 York (Musidora Stakes) See Daqman’s preview on Monday.

There’s usually a sequence of form behind the winning filly in this but David Simcock (Empress Wu) and Sir Michael Stoute (Infinite Cosmos) won in 2013 and 2014 with recent maiden winners, and one of them could do so again.

Infinite Cosmos scored just 12 days back and only this race will tell us what she is capable of, if only that she is a worthy favourite in this field.

The narrow winner over her last October, Sea Of Roses, second to Arrest on debut, was runner-up at Saint-Cloud on her reappearance. I’m talking all about soft-ground form so far.

Four of the last eight winners were trained by Team Gosden, all odds on, and the market has been a good guide to this year’s trials.

The Gosden’s Frankel filly Soul Sister failed to act in the Newbury mud, last of 12 in the Fred Darling, and is well drawn; six of the last eight winners were from the low five stalls.

The better ground may also suit Fillies Mile runner-up, Novakai (out of the one stall), also placed in the May Hill, and a maiden winner on firm.

BETDAQ value A bit each way Soul Sister (16.5 win and place).

CAN ZU RUN ON THE GRASS?

⭕ 4.10 York (7f handicap) Centrally-stalled horses again do well, since they get a good position after the early left-hand turn, then come across to their right, heading off the high draw.

The low stalls, containing New Endeavour, Chuzzlewit and Onight, may find it difficult to maintain the early gallop, left to maintain it nearer the far rail.

Zu Run (BETDAQ 9.7), whose sire was four times a high-Grade winner on turf in Australia, has been prepared on AW but ‘could be anything’ on this grass handicap debut. Gate 9.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
