REAL MADRID V BARCELONA
7.45pm We’ve already been treated to an El Clasico this week, and now we have another quickly! Barcelona ran out easy winners 3-0 here on Wednesday night to go through to the Copa del Rey final and it’s hard to see past another Barcelona win here. They sit top of La Liga and nine points clear of their bitter rivals; and as we noted on Wednesday in our preview – the Copa del Rey was probably more important for Real given the gap between the sides in the league.
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Real Madrid 2.8, Barcelona 2.58 and the draw is 3.85. We expected Barcelona to be a lot shorter than 2.58 after seeing the second half on Wednesday night – Barcelona absolutely bossed the game and it’s hard to see how Real can turn things around in such a short space of time.
Barcelona also have a great record here in recent times; they’ve won five of their last six visits and while Real have obviously improved from their terrible start to the season – they haven’t improved enough to beat this excellent Barcelona side. Real have simply conceded too many goals this season in La Liga and Barcelona are a massive price to take advantage of that for the second time this week.
