EURO 2016: After what has been a dull few weeks without competitive football Euro 2016 is finally here and we have an action packed month to look forward to! Tournament hosts France get their campaign going tonight at 8-00 in the Stade De France.
France are currently priced around the 1.38 mark but judging by Romania’s defensive record in the qualifiers they could be in for a harder night than the markets expect. Romania only conceded two goals in their ten games in qualifying, going unbeaten in that time while within the nine months they have drawn games with Spain and Italy.
France will certainly be a few levels up from the opposition that Romania faced in the qualifying though, and have won nine of their last ten games, so we aren’t expecting a shock defeat for the hosts here – it could just be harder work for France than 1.38 would suggest. The best option could be under 2.5 goals currently priced around the 1.86 mark, while France have scored plenty in their recent home games there has to be a different feel to this game with far more at stake, Romania will be set up well to defend and it could take France a while to break them down.
BETDAQ best bet:
Under 2.5 goals at 1.86.

- This will be the sides third meeting at the European Championships, no game had more than one goal.
