EUROPA LEAGUE: We preview Thursday’s Europa League matches between PAOK V CHELSEA, VILLARREAL v RANGERS, ARSENAL v VORSKLA and CELTIC v ROSENBORG each with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
PAOK V CHELSEA
5.55pm After a poor season in the Premier League Chelsea find themselves starting their Europa League campaign on Thursday evening. They have started the season impressively and currently sit top of the Premier League on goal difference after five wins from five games. Many people thought it would take Sarri longer to settle in but he seems to have them playing some excellent football; however bigger tests lie ahead. PAOK won’t be one of those big tests for this Chelsea side though; who they should outclass easily here. You’d have to expect Sarri to make some changes given the opposition but Chelsea should still have way too much firepower here and they look massive at 1.85.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Chelsea to beat PAOK at 1.85.

VILLARREAL V RANGERS
5.55pm Steven Gerrard takes his Rangers side to face Villarreal on Thursday night hoping to bring them some European success. The reality is that Scottish football doesn’t have the quality for European football however a good run in this competition will give the club a huge boost. It’s difficult to see them getting anything from this game though against a top quality Villarreal side. Villarreal have already held Atletico Madrid to a 1-1 draw this season and let’s be honest; La Liga is on a different planet to Scottish football these days. We expect Rangers to make in tough for Villarreal though and they can keep the scoreline down. Rangers are 1.9 +1.5 goals and that looks marginal value.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Rangers +1.5 goals to beat Villarreal at 1.9.

ARSENAL V VORSKLA
8pm Arsenal have to be happy with another year of Europa League action for another season, and by the looks of things in the Premier League it will be a while before they have Champions League football again. Arsenal were impressive in this competition at times last season; they play a brand of football that suits against the weaker European teams and they can simply outclass them. It’s difficult to see anything but an easy Arsenal win here looking at Vorskla. They have lost more games in the Ukrainian first division this season than they have won; and Arsenal can rest players here and still have way too much firepower, especially with home advantage. Vorskla have lost all of their three away games this season and Arsenal look massive at 2.02 -2.5 goals.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Arsenal -2.5 goals to beat Vorskla at 2.02.

CELTIC V ROSENBORG
8pm The fixture list throws up some random clashes doesn’t it! After meeting in the Champions League play-offs; these two sides meet again quickly in the Europa League. There will be no excuses for no knowing each other now! Celtic ran out 3-1 winners when the sides met here and obviously home advantage is a huge boost for Celtic in Europe. They have had some special moments at home in Europe and while they will want to break records domestically – everyone knows that they are too good for their league and the real test of their side is in Europe. Given the result here between the two sides already this season, Celtic look ten ticks too big here at 1.5 and we’re happy to back them.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Celtic to beat Rosenborg at 1.5.
