EUROPA LEAGUE: We preview Thursday’s Europa League games between BATE BORISOV V CHELSEA, SPARTAK MOSCOW V RANGERS, CELTIC V RB LEIPZIG and ARSENAL V SPORTING LISBON with recommended BETDAQ bets.
BATE BORISOV V CHELSEA
5.55pm It took a while but Chelsea finally found their scoring boots in the Europa League two weeks ago when putting three past BATE. They had been grinding out 1-0 wins prior to that and after seeing the first clash between these sides; it’s very hard to see anything other than a Chelsea win. If Chelsea win this clash it will give them the freedom to rest players for the rest of the Group and surely Sarri will see the benefit of that as we come to the busy Christmas period. Chelsea are red hot favourites to collect three points and they trade 1.37 at the time of writing – we can see them grinding out another win here and we see a much tighter clash here than the first time around. Under 2.5 goals is trading 2.18 which looks good value – it’s also worth checking the prices on Chelsea 1-0 or 2-0 in the Correct Score market.

SPARTAK MOSCOW V RANGERS
5.55pm Rangers are having the time of their life in Europe this season! They currently sit top of Group G and have been pretty impressive in their games thus far. After such a long time without European action; their fans must be loving this. They will face a battle on Thursday night away to Spartak Moscow and they will be delighted to still be sitting top of the Group after this fixture – they could only draw 0-0 with Spartak when the sides met recently however Rangers have been very solid on the road this season. Rangers have had six away games in Europe this season and they’ve managed five draws – Spartak aren’t impressive a home either and we have to lay them at 2.2. Rangers will make this game a lot closer than odds of 2.2 suggest on Spartak.

CELTIC V RB LEIPZIG
8pm This will be a very tough night for Celtic after losing 2-0 to RB Leipzig recently. Nothing from that game would suggest that Celtic can turn that result around however it has to be said too that Celtic are far better in front of their own fans compared away from home to perhaps the gulf in class won’t be as evident tonight. As is always the case with Celtic in Europe the atmosphere will be excellent however we can’t get away from the RB Leipzig price at 2.04 here – they looked vastly better than Celtic two weeks ago and odds against looks well worth backing here.

ARSENAL V SPORTING LISBON
8pm We end the night with the in-form Arsenal taking on Sporting Lisbon again. Arsenal were able to collect three points away from home against Sporting so we expect them to be able to get the job done again back in London. They had their first big test of this season at the weekend when they faced Liverpool here and they came through that OK with a draw – they are definitely an improved side this season and seem to be playing with more confidence and backbone. Sporting haven’t exactly set the world on fire with their away form domestically in Portugal and that would suggest that they are in big trouble against an in-form Arsenal. We expect Arsenal to win easily and we like them on the handicap at 1.86 -1.5 goals.
