PREMIER LEAGUE: We preview Sunday’s FA Cup games between WIGAN V SOUTHAMPTON and LEICESTER V CHELSEA with recommended BETDAQ bets.
WIGAN V SOUTHAMPTON
1.30pm We have two great games this afternoon in the FA Cup, and two very similar markets too. Southampton will enjoy a welcome break from the Premier League given their position and their poor form, however they have a very tough challenge here traveling to Wigan. They’ve beaten Manchester City, West Ham and Bournemouth already in this Cup run!
Southampton are clear favourites, and perhaps too short. The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Wigan 4.1, Southampton 2.12 and the draw is 3.45. Southampton took the big step to sack their manager, and now they’ve brought in Mark Hughes to try and keep them in the Premier League. Hughes will have a very good squad, and we can definitely see a “new manager bounce” here, however with the way that they have played this season we cannot have them as short as 2.12. Wigan have already shown they have the quality to beat Premier League teams this season, especially at home, and we’re happy to lay Southampton at these odds.

LEICESTER V CHELSEA
4.30pm It seems so long ago that these two sides lifted the Premier League title in 2016 and 2017. They have both had reasonably poor seasons, particularly Chelsea – who got dumped out of the Champions League during the week against Barcelona. We have a very similar match odds market to the early kick off game, with the match odds trading; Leicester 3.65, Chelsea 2.14 and the draw is 3.75.
Leicester have always been very solid at home, even when they have been going through some very rough patches. They have only lost here four times all season, and Chelsea will have to be on their A Game to win this evening. It looks like Conte could be going at the end of the season, and now this competition is his only chance to win something this season. However, looking at Chelsea’s recent away record we have to take them on here. They have won just two away games in their last 12 in all competitions, and with Leicester so solid at home – we have to lay Chelsea at 2.14 from a value point of view.
