FA CUP: We preview some of Saturday’s FA Cup Third Round matches, each with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
FLEETWOOD TOWN V LEICESTER
12.45pm What a great way to start an FA Cup Saturday, with Jamie Vardy returning to his old club. You have to think though that it might be tempting for Leicester to rest some of their key players, so maybe he won’t start – although he’ll want to! Leicester ended a run of five games without a win with an easy 3-0 win over Huddersfield on Monday – however saying ‘five winless games’ doesn’t cover their form. They drew with United in the Premier League and City in the League Cup – so they have been playing good football. Their away record isn’t as strong as their home record of course, however they should have too much class for Fleetwood here and the 1.55 on Leicester looks too big. Fleetwood haven’t been in good form recently, only winning once in their last seven games at home, and we expect a comfortable away win here.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Leicester to beat Fleetwood Town at 1.55.

FULHAM V SOUTHAMPTON
3pm This is a really interesting game from a betting point of view! It’s a classic Championship v Premier League clash, however with Southampton in poor form and struggling to win at the moment, should they be favourites away from home? Although they have faced some big sides, it’s now been nine games since Southampton have won and losing 2-1 at home to Palace on Tuesday night would have been bitterly disappointing. Fulham are only a mid-table Championship side at the moment, however they are pretty solid at home and with Southampton struggling to win, we’re happy to lay the Premier League side at 2.5.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Southampton at 2.5.

MANCHESTER CITY V BURNLEY
3pm Manchester City got back to winning ways last time out at home to Watford, after their shock draw against Crystal Palace ending their record winning run in the league. It’s interesting that City “only” scored three against Watford, and also conceded – because Watford have been playing poorly this season. Many would have expected a very easy win for City with plenty more goals – compared this to Burnley, who have been rock solid this season. They are currently flying high in seventh position in the Premier League and have proven very tough to beat this season. For that reason, we like them on the 2.5 goal handicap at around 1.65 – it’s likely City will choose to rest some key players here and while they will more than likely win, we expect Burnley to stay within the handicap.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Burnley +2.5 goals to beat Manchester City at 1.65.

NORWICH V CHELSEA
5.30pm This should prove to be a tough evening for Norwich against a Chelsea side in great form. Norwich haven’t had much luck in the FA Cup recently, crashing out in this round in each of the last four seasons. While they would have liked the fact they had home advantage, they wouldn’t have been happy to see Chelsea were visiting! Chelsea have kept a clean sheet in four of their last six games and with Norwich conceding plenty of goals at home this season, we feel that the 1.5 on a Chelsea win here is too big. We wouldn’t usually tip prices this short, however the 1.5 on Chelsea looks good value to end the day – and would make a good banker for many BETDAQ Multiples today.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Chelsea to beat Norwich at 1.5.
