SUNDAY FA CUP PREVIEW: FA Cup third round weekend continues with an early start !!! Cardiff take on Fulham at 11.30am. We preview each game with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
Cardiff v Fulham
11-30am We kick off Sunday’s FA Cup action with an all Championship clash between Cardiff and Fulham. This one should be an interest start of the day’s action as it’s open the most open match odds market of the day – the odds at the time of writing currently stand at Cardiff 2.88, Fulham 2.62 and the draw 3.55. Fulham currentl sit nine points above Cardiff in the Championship table, but with Cardiff having home advantage – there shouldn’t be too much in this one and it is very hard to pick a winner in the match odds. With that in mind we’re going to look to the goals market for some value. Looking at Fulham’s recent games they have been jam packed with goals – five of their last six have seen over 2.5 with the other being 2-0 win for Fulham, while Cardiff have seen over 2.5 in three of their last four. We expect an entertaining start to the day here and are happy to back over 2.5 goals at 1.9.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Over 2.5 goals at 1.9.

Liverpool v Plymouth
1.30pm Jurgen Klopp was very close to losing the plot in the press conference after his side drew 2-2 at Sunderland on Monday and he will no doubt want a smooth win here against the League Two side. It’s hard to know how many players Klopp may choose to rest here, he has been moaning about the fixture list over the Christmas period for some time and it seems reasonable to suggest that he will choose to rest quite a few first team players here. It’s hard to know how much trouble Plymouth can cause here, they are currently sitting in second in League Two and having a great season, but the gulf in class between that and Premier League should see a somewhat routine win for Liverpool here. They are short at 1.2 in the match odds market though, and with Plymouth winning five of their last six, they’re bound to have enough confidence to give this a good go. We’re going to take a chance and back Both Teams To Score at 2.5.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Both Teams To Score at 2.5.

Chelsea v Peterborough
3pm Chelsea were unable to create history with a 14 straight win in a single Premier League season on Wednesday night when they lost 2-0 to Spurs, and they’ll be hoping to bounce straight back to winning ways with an easy win here against the League One side. Peterborough have been having a fairly ok season, but nothing major, and currently sit in 8th place in the League One table. One assumes that Conte will choose to rest a few players here but Chelsea should still have the firepower to get the job done quite easily. Despite conceding twice midweek against Spurs, the thing to note from their run was how superb they have been at the back, and while we expect some changes – we still feel that any side under Conte will be well drilled defensively and for that reason we’re going to back Both Teams Not To Score at 1.72.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Both Teams To Score – No at 1.72.

Tottenham v Aston Villa
4pm Spurs will arrive into this match on a high after beating their London rivals Chelsea 2-0 on Wednesday night, and they should notch up another win here against the disappointing Aston Villa who only sit 12th in the Championship this season. Villa have really dropped a long way in recent times and Spurs will more than likely choose to rest a few players here, but it’s probably a case of how many will they score rather than will they win. Villa will no doubt put up a decent showing given this is a chance to shine back against a Premier League side but we expect a routine win for Spurs. With them trading short in the match odds market, we prefer the back over 2.5 goals at around the 1.7 mark.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Over 2.5 goals at 1.7.
