8pm It wouldn’t have been unfair to call the last clash between these two one of Newport’s biggest games in their history, and here we are after they battled hard for a draw! This will be a wonderful experience for the Newport players, however if the markets are anything to go by – it’s where their FA Cup journey will end. At the time of writing, Spurs are trading as short as 1.1! With Newport trading a massive 40.0 and the draw is 14.0.
Newport had put a good run together prior to meeting Spurs, having only lost once in their 11 games leading up to that tie. However they have since lost two from two since the 1-1 draw with Spurs, while Spurs have beaten Manchester United and drawn away to Liverpool – quite the difference! It’s highly likely that the focus has been on this clash for Newport since then, however you’d have to expect Spurs to simply outclass them tonight.
With Spurs as short as 1.1, it will definitely be the side markets we are looking at here. Over 2.5 goals looks too short to back too at 1.3, we don’t expert Newport to cause Spurs much trouble and with Any Other Home Win trading 2.16 that will be our best bet. Spurs are in excellent form at the moment, and odds against to score four or more and win looks good value.
