7.45pm Rochdale caused a major shock when holding Spurs to a draw, and will be hoping to cause an even bigger shock tonight! The markets gave Rochdale very little chance when the teams met the first time, and they are doing the same again with Spurs trading as short as 1.1 at the time of writing. If you fancy the draw again, that’s currently 13.5 while a Rochdale win is 40.0!
It’s very difficult to see anything but a Spurs win here, however you would have said that the first time too. Although now with home advantage, Spurs should really be putting Rochdale to the sword here. The draw was a real shock, as they had been in good form going into that game – perhaps they had their minds elsewhere after the 2-2 draw with Juve, however they should correct that wrong tonight.
Apart from the FA Cup, Rochdale haven’t had much to shout about this season. They currently sit bottom of League One, three points adrift from their nearest rival. If you took away the Spurs game and the 1-0 win against Millwall – you’d say that they have been woeful coming into this tie. Granted they could compete with Spurs last time, but we expect a different story here. We expect a comfy Spurs win and fancy them to cover the handicap – they’re currently trading 1.95 -2.5 goals and that looks great value.
