GAVIN CROMWELL: Six runners for Brand Ambassador Gavin Cromwell to preview this weekend and hoping to continue the yard’s recent uptick in form.

We’ve got a fairly busy weekend with runners on the Flat at Naas on Saturday as well as over the Jumps at Navan the following day. We had another nice winner during the week as Wadiyatink Now won well at Fairyhouse, so hopefully we can keep things going over the weekend.

Naas Saturday

We’re looking forward to seeing how Jukebox Jive gets on in the November Handicap (2.00pm) at Naas on Saturday. He won the race last year, but does go back there off a seven-pound higher mark this time around. He didn’t run too badly in the Cesarewitch at Newmarket last time, although we probably expected a little bit more than he showed and fingers crossed he can show that here. He’s in good form at home and Gavin Ryan’s three-pound claim obviously makes life easier too.

Later on the card, we run Yafordadoe in the 1m4f handicap (3.10pm). He’s been very consistent for us and has been pretty unlucky on his last two starts, having missed the break at Naas two starts back, before not having a great trip at Leopardstown last time. Charles Byrnes’ horse looks the one we all have to beat, but we go there pretty hopeful our lad can put up a bold showing. He’d be among our best chances of a winner this weekend.

Navan Sunday

At Navan on Sunday, we kick things off with Five Helmets in the maiden hurdle (12.00pm). He didn’t jump great on his first start for us at Wexford last month, so hopefully he can do things a bit better this time.

Next up is Ujumpthelastuwin in the beginners chase (2.45pm). He won nicely the last day at Wexford over hurdles and is now ready to start out over fences. We’re looking forward to getting him going, but it looks a pretty hot race with the likes of Easywork in there.

Finally, we run Walk Me Home and Presenting Meghan in the handicap hurdle (3.50pm).

Walk Me Home won her first race of the season back in August and was a good second the last day at Cork. She’s an improving type and hopefully she can run another good race under Mark Walsh again here.

Presenting Meghan looked to be in with a real chance of going back-to-back the last day at Ballinrobe, but unfortunately just faded out to finish third. She’s come out of the race well and a repeat of that run would hopefully see her get involved. Like Walk Me Home, we’re hopeful she’ll run a nice race.
