INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLIES: We preview Friday’s games between ENGLAND v GERMANY at Wembley and FRANCE v WALES with recommended BETDAQ bets.
ENGLAND V GERMANY
8pm As ‘Glamour Friendlies’ go, it doesn’t get much bigger than this. England have a superb record at Wembley, winning 17 of their last 19 games, however the last time Germany visited they left 1-0 winners. In terms of class, there’s no question who is the better side here, it is Germany. However, we have to consider that this is only a friendly and how “up for it” will the sides be? Obviously these sides have history and will want to win, but with the busy Christmas period coming up at clubs, we might see plenty of subs after 60 minutes which takes the bite out of games.
Germany are hot favourites, but aren’t odds on. The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; England 3.85, Germany 2.12 and the draw is 3.65. It’s not often you see England as big at 3.85 to win at Wembley! It’s tempting to lay Germany, as we see this one a little closer than odds of 2.12 suggest. However, this will be a close game, and late changes might drag the flow out of the game too – with under 2.5 goals trading 1.93 that looks pretty good value. Germany have won plenty of big away friendlies 1-0, and we might see a similar scoreline here, but don’t rule out the draw at 3.65 in what should be a close affair.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Under 2.5 goals at 1.93.

FRANCE V WALES
8pm France had to win their last group game to qualify automatically and unfortunately for Wales they couldn’t get the job done against Ireland – so these two meet here. Obviously being without Bale for that game was a huge blow, and with him out here it’s difficult to see how Wales can trouble the French. They just don’t have the scoring power – they’ve netted twice just once in their last eight, and against a French side who has a very good record at home, it looks like it’s only going to be one way traffic here. France are currently 1.9 -1.5 goals and we feel that they should cover that handicap in front of their home fans.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
France -1.5 goals to beat Wales at 1.9.
