INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLIES: We preview Tuesday’s games between REPUBLIC OF IRELAND v ICELAND, NETHERLANDS v ITALY and FRANCE v SPAIN with recommended BETDAQ bets.
REPUBLIC OF IRELAND V ICELAND
7.45pm All the talk after the Wales game was about Neil Taylor’s shocking tackle on Seamus Coleman, and while it was a huge talking point – apart from that it really was a boring game to watch. We seen very few chances between the sides, and with Martin O’Neill suggesting that we could see some new faces tonight, we aren’t expecting a better quality game tonight. Depending on just how many ‘new faces’ are in the Ireland XI, the 2.22 on them looks a shade short. However, with only one loss at home since 2014 we aren’t keen on laying the boys in green. Iceland have won three of their last four away games, however these have come against Malta, Kosovo and China, so it’s hard to read much into that. This game just screams unders to us and with nothing really to play for we could see a slow tempo affair in front of a few empty seats in the crowd. Under 2.5 goals is only 1.58, however we feel that this is just about high enough to back. And it could be worth considering 0-0 in the correct score market at 8.2.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Under 2.5 goals at 1.58.

NETHERLANDS V ITALY
7.45pm The Netherlands are having a horror run at the moment. Having failed to qualify for Euro 2016, now they face a huge battle to qualify for the World Cup after a 2-0 loss to Bulgaria the weekend. It’s quite hard to know what to expect from them tonight, and what their feelings will be towards this game. It’s likely that most of the players just want to get back to their clubs after such a disappointing loss, however after they sacked the manager, they could see this as a chance to impress. That being said, we simply can’t support the Netherlands in the market until we see improved form from them. And while Italy won’t be flying into tackles away from home in a friendly, they can get a result here. We like the Netherlands lay at 2.8, but if you’re feeling brave Italy at 2.8 look a good bet too.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay the Netherlands at 2.9.

FRANCE V SPAIN
8pm A glamour tie no doubt however as always it’s hard to know what the players think about these friendly games. Both sides had easy wins the weekend in World Cup Qualification and maybe the managers will try out a few new players tonight. Looking at Spain’s recent away record, they’ve only won twice in their last six – and there hasn’t been too many goals in their recent away games either. Under 2.5 goals is only 1.62 though, and unlike Ireland v Iceland – that’s probably just a shade short given the quality the sides could have up front should they choose to play their first XI’s. With home advantage and Spain’s poor away record, we feel France can have the edge in this one and the 2.54 on them looks worthy of a small bet.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
France to beat Spain at 2.54.
