TUESDAY’S INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLIES: We preview ENGLAND v SPAIN, ITALY v GERMANY and NORTHERN IRELAND v CROATIA with recommended BETDAQ bets.
England v Spain
8pm As International Friendlies go, they don’t get much more interesting than this one as Spain visit England in Wembley. England are currently going through yet another transition period after sacking Sam Allardyce, and this will be by far Gareth Southgates toughest test so far. Spain are unbeaten since Julen Lopetegui took over and they have a pretty good record away from home too – obviously we cant be fully sure what sort of teams the managers will name, if they will rest any key players or not, but the England lay at 3.1 looks the value call here.
Spain have conceded just twice in their last seven away and England still don’t look too fluid going forward, even though they netted three against Scotland in their latest World Cup Qualifier. You’d have to fancy Spain’s attacking options finding gaps in the English defense at some stage too, and at 3.1 it is too tempting not to lay England. Sometimes friendlies can be quite dull at Wembley too, and it is definitely worth checking what price 0-0 is in the correct score market after seeing the teams.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay England at 3.1.

Italy v Germany
7.45pm Both these teams arrive into this friendly off the back of easy wins in their World Cup Qualifiers and this repeat of the Euro 2016 quarter final should be interesting. Since that draw, where Germany went through on penalties, both sides have good records – Italy have lost just once in their last five and since France beat Germany at Euro 2016, they’ve won all of their five games without conceding while scoring an impressive 18 goals!
That defensive record could be the key here as Italy don’t seem to be as solid as the Germans, not something you would usually say about an Italian team. However they have conceded in four of their five since facing Germany at Euro 2016 (they conceded against them too), where their only clean sheet came last time out against Liechtenstein. Based on that we feel the Italy lay offers great value at 2.98 and that will be our best bet.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Italy at 2.98.

Northern Ireland v Croatia
7.45pm Northern Ireland were highly impressive beating Azerbaijan 4-0 on Friday night and as we noted in our preview, they were no pushovers given their form in World Cup Qualifying thus far. And while Croatia will be a considerable step up on Azerbaijan, we feel that there is value in the Croatia lay at around 2.24. Northern Ireland have now kept clean sheets in all of their last five at Windsor Park – home advantage could be huge here as its hard to determine how “up for it” this Croatia side will be, they are without most of their first choice midfielders and we feel that this friendly will mean more to Northern Ireland playing in front of their home crowd than the traveling side. The Croatia lay appeals at 2.24.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Croatia at 2.24.
