JONATHAN HOBBS: There will be great interest in tonight’s Colossus Bets Kent Silver Salver Final at Central Park, live on RPGTV.

The sponsors are offering a £10,000 bonus for any greyhound to go unbeaten through the competition and it’s still possible for three of the runners to achieve that – check out Betdaq’s market on this https://www.betdaq.com/exchange/greyhound-racing/greyhound-specials/colossus—silver-salver/7356150.

The unbeaten trio are headed by Shrewd Call, who has a favourite’s chance in the £3,000-to-the-winner final and is doing nothing wrong for in-form trainer David Mullins. He’s joined as a yet-to-be-beaten finalist by Ballynabee Lucky for Samantha West and the improving King Drake for Liz McNair.

However, big-race backer Bernard Marantelli will be hoping the other three finalists can spoil the bonus party – and one of them might well do. Read on.

Central Park

6.43: Ernie Gaskin has a strong hand here with Newinn Liz just fancied over half-sister Newinn Cracker. The latter is still finding her feet post-break, although is a classy sort at best. However stripes has been showing good speed at Romford and might get first run.

Play: Newinn Liz

6:58: The first RPGTV Champion Hurdle heat and Hurdler of the Year Turnhouse Jet is tough to look beyond. It’s a better draw and make-up than last week and gives Ricky Holloway’s dog a chance to dominate. Kennelmate Nomansland Flyer for the forecast?

Play: Turnhouse Jet

7.18: Potentially a good battle between Queen Jessiej and Droopys Aoife. The latter is more experienced and a powerful sort, but is making her return from a break and might not be as sharp as the McNair runner, who continues to win for fun – and in fast times.

Play: Queen Jessiej

7.38: Another Champion Hurdle heat and Springbok champion Burgess Doc gets the vote to strike for Monmore trainer Lee Field. The draw outside and he has first-run potential and could get first run on Droopys Cruiser and veteran Lenson Wilson.

Play: Burgess Doc

7.58: Front Asset, still lightly-raced, catches the eye for Kevin Proctor. The black jacket has good C&D-winning form and can run fresh and fast from the boxes and boss proceedings tonight – with a rails move from in-form Touchdown Zak clearing the way.

Play: Front Asset

8.17: Billericay Blue has first-run potential here in this third and final Champion Hurdle heat. Jim Reynolds’ dog made a splash in the Springbok over C&D and could dominate matters inside, although needs to be sharp to beat improving Roxholme Biscuit.

Play: Billericay Blue

8.38: It’s the Kent Silver Salver Final and perhaps a chance for Coolavanny Dylan to win another major sprint title – he certainly looks the value bet. Kirsty Grayson’s Sheffield star, the BresMed Northern Sprint champion, is still improving after a break and could spoil the party for the bonus-seeking trio of unbeaten runners in this decider with a smash break. However he needs to be foot-perfect to head off the surge to the bend of the impressive Shrewd Call (David Mullins). King Drake (Liz McNair) is also improving as a sprinter, as is Druids Brazona (Jason Bloomfield) while Ballynabee Lucky (Samnatha West) has a plum draw inside. Grays Cup Winner (Nathan Hunt) is classy and from another in-form kennel. It’s a cracking final which could be worth £13,000 to three sets of connections!

Play: Coolavanny Dylan

9.12: The other final on the card at Central Park tonight is the Sunday Night Maiden Final where the David Jeans-trained Coolavanny Combo could take some holding if improving for last week’s debut in the heats. He finished well after a troubled run to catch the eye.

Play: Coolavanny Combo

9.28: The Central Park finale and it’s great to see Fitenwell back over four bends. Emma Richards’ runner ran well in the heats of the Silver Salver and, a winner here several times in the past, could get first run on the likes of Seaglass Tiger and Lenson Whelan.

Play: Fitenwell

Good luck all.
