It’s week eighteen of La Liga and whilst today’s Four o clock kick off between Man United and Liverpool may be most football fans idea of the game of the weekend, the top two clash in La Liga this evening at seven forty five and this is one game you do not want to miss.
Second Placed Sevilla host leaders Real Madrid although this will be these team’s third meeting in eleven days having twice met in the Spanish Cup.
Real Madrid sealed there passage to the last eight on the back of a three nil home win although Sevilla did get back into the tie, just last Thursday, going three one up, only to be clawed back to three all in what was an absolute classic.
Karim Benzema’s last kick of the game deflection secured Real Madrid’s now Spanish record breaking forty games without defeat.
Guess who’s back….
Ronaldo and Modric were rested for that cup game and will no doubt come back in for what could become a season defining game for all the teams fighting for the title.
Sevilla were less than 3.0 when they met last Thursday however the Ronaldo return dictates their odds have fluctuated, for the better in my opinion.
We have to respect Real Madrid’s unbeaten run however Seville are not in second place by luck, their fast paced attacking football is a joy to watch and they always create chances. Only one Liga home defeat, a very controversial loss to Barcelona, and a victories in their eight other Liga home games highlight that whatever happens, Real Madrid are in for a tough night.
Whilst Ronaldo returns for Madrid so too does Sevilla midfielder Steven NZonzi who has been the player of the season in La Liga and this will be a huge boost to the home side. Nzonzi is now the target of Barcelona and Chelsea although his commitment to the Sevilla Cause is not in doubt.
Final Verdict….
I really do think Sevilla could have too much pace and power for the unbeaten team from Madrid. All good things come to an end and I think that could be Real Madrid’s unbeaten stretch tonight and I am happy to LAY Real Madrid for five points at odds of 2.02 on BETDAQ.
