LEAGUE ONE PLAYOFF FINAL SUNDAY: What a match in prospect on Sunday as the two BETDAQ sponsored teams battle it out for a place in the Championship. We preview the ‘BETDAQ derby with a recommended bet.

3pm What a League One Playoff Final we have this year! Two massive clubs meet at Wembley and one will progress to The Championship while the other has to go back to the start and battle again. So much is on the line in this BETDAQ Derby.
We have a very open market on BETDAQ too with the match odds at the time of writing currently trading; Charlton 2.94, Sunderland 2.74 and the draw is 3.3. While in the ‘To Be Promoted’ market Sunderland are just marginal favourites at 1.94 while Charlton trade 2.02. Charlton have already had a belly full of drama in the Playoffs after needing to go to penalties after two legs against Doncaster. We saw fantastic scenes after as the fans poured onto the pitch at The Valley and it’s great to see them get a day at Wembley after so long.
Sunderland have already had a day out at Wembley this season, when they unfortunately lost the Checkatrade Trophy against Portsmouth. They were able to get their revenge on them in the Playoffs and having the experience of a massive game at Wembley already this season is surely a positive going into this tie.
It’s fair to say that there is very little between the two sides. Both have been excellent this season, and both aren’t afraid to grind out results. This one is going to come down to the finest of margins and it’s about who can hold their bottle on the big day. Charlton looked a little nervous in the second leg against Doncaster; but the same can be said about Sunderland in the second half against Portsmouth in the Checkatrade Trophy Final.
We really can’t split these two and the draw makes the most appeal at 3.3 on BETDAQ. The last meeting between these two finished a 1-1 draw and we were heading for another draw at the start of the season only for a late Sunderland goal. Charlton have been excellent at the back towards the end of the season; as have Sunderland who have a brilliant goalkeeper in the shape of Jon McLaughlin. It’s set up to be a brilliant, tense, and nervous day at Wembley – but we can’t see a winner after 90 minutes. The draw looks cracking value.
