PREVIEW
Stuttgart welcome bottom-placed Kaiserslautern to the Gottlieb-Daimler Stadium for this evening’s Bundesliga match-up. The hosts are four points off Werder Bremen in the final European spot and a win would put the pressure on them ahead of their game with Hannover on the weekend.
Bruno Labbadia’s side have won three of their past four league games and their most recent was a very impressive 4-0 triumph at Hamburg. Stuttgart have found their scoring boots in the past couple of home games which has seen them score nine times, whilst conceding only once.
Martin Harnik got the last of the four against Hamburg to take his tally to 14 for the season. The Austrian has scored five times in the past two home league games and is one of the hottest strikers in the Bundesliga.
Kaiserslautern are on a dreadful run of form that has seen them fail to win a game since the middle of October. In that period they have managed nine draws and seven defeats. The goalless draw at home to Wolfsburg ended a four match losing streak, but another defeat looks unavoidable this evening.
Stuttgart won the reverse fixture 2-0 and I fancy them to seal the league double, which can be backed at around 1.7 on BETDAQ.
