PREVIEW
Borussia Dortmund can stretch their lead at the top of the Bundesliga to five points with a win over Stuttgart. Since returning to action after the Christmas break Dortmund have been in sparkling form that has coincided with their rise to the top of the table. There have been eleven matches since the break and the champions have won ten of those with a lone draw.
Last Sunday Dortmund hammered Cologne 6-1 away from home with an inspired second half display as they went into half-time at 1-1. Dortmund are not only scoring for fun, but putting in plenty of impressive defensive efforts. In those eleven games tonight’s hosts have only conceded five times and never more than once in a game.
Stuttgart come into the game in seventh place and a European finish is certainly within reach. The visitors have won their past two league games and have proved difficult to break through at the back. In Stuttgart’s past five Bundesliga games they have let in just two goals. Bruno Labbadia’s side have only won four games on the road this season and it’s difficult to see them causing an upset at the league leaders.
Dortmund have been so dominant of late that I would recommend that punters take the 1.9 available on BETDAQ for the hosts to win by at least two goals.
RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back Borussia Dortmund with -1.5 Asian handicap at around 1.9: 7 points
Thursday’s Return: -4.00 points
MARCH RETURN TO DATE: +10.47
