PREVIEW
With just three games to play of the Bundesliga season, Mainz entertain Wolfsburg at the Coface Arena tonight. After such a promising start to the league, Mainz have dropped down the table and now just need a point to mathematically secure their place in the top flight next year.

Thomas Tuchel’s side have been solid at home all season and it’s clear that their away results have cost them this term. Mainz have won four of their past six home league games coming into tonight’s clash and they will fancy their chances against the visitors even though they are three points better off.

Mainz have also been in good scoring form at home during the campaign and they average just fewer than two goals per game.

Wolfsburg are in a similar situation to Mainz and are facing a mid-table finish. Once again it’s been away form that has let the club down and they’ll be up against it to avoid another defeat. The visitors have already been beaten ten times in their 15 away league games to date.

Neither side is in good enough form to back them on the outright market. Therefore backing there to be more than 2.5 goals at 1.61 on BETDAQ is the way forward as both sides struggle for clean sheets. Further support for a high-scoring game is that it finished 2-2 in the meeting between the clubs earlier in the campaign.
