Roberto Di Matteo was in the Chelsea line-up when they won the first Super Cup contested as a one-off match in Monaco and the Blues boss finds himself up against Spanish opposition once again 14 years on in the final fixture contested at Stade Louis II.
A Gus Poyet strike settled that match against Real Madrid and this time Chelsea come into the match as the Champions League holders. They face Europa League winners Atletico Madrid, who aim to lift this trophy for the second time in three years, after beating Inter Milan in 2010.
Chelsea are favourites, at 2.55 on the DAQ, and come into the game on the back of three straight Premier League wins – all of which they have won by two clear goals.
But Atletico, underdogs at 3.1, hammered Athletic Bilbao 4-0 on their last outing when superstar striker Falcao scored a hat-trick.
The Blues, of course, have their own front man in fine form, with Fernando Torres finally beginning to come good. The former Atletico striker has three goals in four matches this season, including the Community Shield defeat to Manchester City, and he heads the first scorer betting on BETDAQ at 5.6. With the game looking tough to call it might be worth a small punt on him to do just that.
