PREVIEW
Middlesbrough have the chance to go top of the table in tonight’s Championship encounter with Sheffield Wednesday at the Riverside Stadium.
Boro travelled to the City Ground on Wednesday night to face the inconsistent Nottingham Forest with confidence sky high in the Teeside club’s dressing room. But, having won six matches in a row, the winless streak came to an end as a rather tame 0-0 was played out.
The Owls are languishing in 20th place in the Championship table, only three points off the relegation zone. Following a bright start to the season, Dave Jones’ side found themselves in a slump – losing eight out of ten games and drawing the other two.
They have turned their fortunes around a little of late with two wins in their last three games. However, their only league win away this season was against bottom club Ipswich Town.
Tonight’s visitors have also failed to score in four of their last six away games so the home win looks a cracking bet at 1.86 on BETDAQ.
