PREVIEW
Sheffield United were well beaten by Reading in the FA Cup to leave them to solely concentrate on gaining promotion to the Championship. Three points tonight would lift the Blades into third place, albeit for potentially just 24 hours ahead of the weekend fixtures.
Danny Wilson’s side haven’t won in four games though and are in danger of slipping out of the play-off places if they cannot rediscover some form. The major concern is that the Blades have been beaten in their previous two home games, including a 3-2 defeat to rock-bottom Hartlepool United.
Coventry are only four points from the play-off places and they arrive at Bramall Lane without a defeat in three games. The Sky Blues have enjoyed plenty of successes on the road and have tasted defeat only once in eight away league games.
There’s been nothing to separate the clubs over the past three meetings and the Blades have failed to beat Coventry in four straight games. Coventry are worth backing to take a point at around 3.45 on BETDAQ given the Blades’ recent struggles in front of their own fans.
