PREVIEW
Brighton entertain West Ham in the Championship this evening and Gus Poyet’s side will be looking to end their recent slump that has seen them slip to 12th in the table. The Seagulls made a strong start to the season that saw them top the league for a few games.
The hosts won five and drew one in their first six games, however since then they have not reached the same heights to pick up just three points in their last six games. Having lost to Leicester City, Crystal Palace and Ipswich, Poyet really needs a positive result to help restore some confidence in the squad.
West Ham are currently fourth, but have also come into a bad bit of form of late – winning only once in four league matches. The Hammers most recent game was a 1-0 loss at Southampton, but the rest of their away results have been strong – with victories at Doncaster, Watford and Nottingham Forest.
Both sides have some excellent attacking options with Craig Mackail-Smith, Ashley Barnes and Carlton Cole among the list. Between them they have 14 league goals and I expect there to be plenty of chances in tonight’s clash. I’d recommend backing there to be over 2.5 goals at around 1.9 on BETDAQ.
RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back over 2.5 goals at around 1.9: 4 points
Sunday’s Return: -5.00
