PREVIEW
Tottenham have a strong recent record against tonight’s opponents, but Liverpool are clear favourites, at 2.11 on the DAQ, to take the three points. The Reds are enjoying their best spell since Kenny Dalglish’s return to the club, after reaching the Carling Cup final, knocking Manchester United out of the FA Cup and comfortably seeing off Wolves last time out.
Spurs are the only team to have beaten Liverpool at Anfield during Dalglish’s second spell – 2-0 at the end of last season – and they were convincing 4-0 winners at the Lane when the teams met in September. The Londoners have gone on to open up an 11-point gap over Liverpool and they sit four places higher, with the Manchester clubs not yet completely out of sight.
Harry Redknapp’s men can be backed at 3.95 on BETDAQ and that will be an interesting price for some considering the visitors boast the division’s second best away record, although that is not the recommendation.
Despite being unbeaten on home turf, Liverpool have drawn too many of their games there. Seven of 11 Anfield fixtures have ended level this term and it is easy to see another stalemate happening, at 3.55.
However, the 1-1 correct score offers even more appeal at 7.4, with that scoreline having been recorded five times already at Anfield this season.
RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Correct score: Liverpool 1-1 Tottenham at 7.4: 2 points
Sunday’s Return: -6 points
