PREVIEW
Arsenal can cut the lead on third to a single point later this evening by beating Newcastle after Tottenham slipped to a third successive defeat on Saturday. Arsene Wenger’s side have won their past three games after going through a tough patch and they have all the momentum as the race for the third Champions League spot gathers pace.

Only a few weeks ago Spurs’ lead on their bitter rivals was as big as ten points, but some impressive performances have helped the Gunners whittle it down. Arsenal have been strong at home all season and they’ve only been beaten there twice in the league. The goals have been flying in recently and the Gunners have managed 17 in their past six league outings.

Robin van Persie has bagged five goals in his past three games at the Emirates, although the Magpies did keep him quiet in the goalless draw earlier in the campaign.

Newcastle have struggled away from home of late and have been beaten four times in their past six away league games. The Magpies’ usually reliable defense has conceded 14 times in those six away games and they were hammered 5-0 at White Hart Lane in their most recent away outing.

Arsenal are hitting form at the right time and they can take full advantage of the Magpies’ problems on their travels. I’d recommend backing the home side with the -1.5 Asian handicap at around 1.84 on BETDAQ.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back Arsenal with -1.5 Asian handicap at around 1.84: 4 points
Sunday’s Return: -4.00 points
MARCH RETURN TO DATE: +9.98
