Manchester City simply must win tonight’s game at Villa Park if they are to hold onto any slim hopes of retaining their Premier League crown.
Having seen bitter city rivals Manchester United stretch their lead at the summit to 15 points with victory over Norwich on Saturday, Roberto Mancini must instill confidence and belief in his squad ahead of the trip to Aston Villa.
Villa have had a horrible season so far, dumped out of both the League Cup and the FA Cup by lower division sides and winning just five of their 27 league games. A win later will lift them out of the relegation zone but, at around 8 on BETDAQ, the layers don’t seem worried about that possibility.
City’s away record this term has seemingly cost them the title as they’ve only won six of 13 but they enjoy playing Villa. They’ve hit four or more goals in three of their last five games against the Villans and really should have too much for their opponents.
