PREVIEW
Manchester United and Liverpool fixtures are feisty enough and the return of Luis Suarez promises to give the contest added spice. Sir Alex Ferguson will still be angry at being dumped out of the FA Cup by Liverpool a few weeks back, but he has a chance to take revenge in the lunchtime kick-off.
The Red Devils did brilliantly to fight back from three down against Chelsea, but the manager knows they cannot afford to make the same defensive mistakes here. United have responded well to the surprise defeat to Blackburn by winning their past two home league games to nil.
It’s now been three games without a win for United against Liverpool, but they’ve fared much better against their rivals when on their own turf. United have won three on the spin playing the Reds at Old Trafford and each has been decided by a single goal. Ryan Giggs netted the winner from the penalty spot in Liverpool’s previous game at OT and if there’s another spot kick in the game, BETDAQ are offering commission back on all match markets.
Liverpool have been beaten easily in their two toughest away games at Man City and Tottenham, but Kenny Dalglish’s side have improved a lot at the back as Monday night’s draw proved. The Reds were unable to create much given the amount of possession they had and that’s a contrast to United’s recent attacking efforts. In United’s past six home league games they have scored 17 times and that’s where the difference lies between the clubs.
United have a chance to go top with three points and Sir Alex’s side look a good bet at 1.92 on BETDAQ to really turn up the pressure on City before they play at Villa Park on Sunday.
RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back Man Utd at around 1.92: 4 points
Friday’s Return: -4 points
