PREVIEW
The Emirates will this afternoon play host to what promises to be an exciting London derby between Fulham and Arsenal.
Arsene Wenger will be looking to patch things up at the back as his side has conceded nine goals in their last three games. Following the uninspiring 2-1 defeat to Manchester United last weekend, the Gunners improved in their first-half performance against Schalke in Tuesday’s Champions League encounter.
Having gone 2-0 up, slack defending allowed the Germans to come back and it finished all square. Another goal from Theo Walcott puts him in contention for a start against Fulham and the England man will seek to continue his hot streak.
The Cottagers are looking for their first ever away win at Arsenal having lost 22 and drawn four of their previous 26 visits. Picking up a point against a high-flying Everton last weekend side will have done the squad’s confidence some good and they are now unbeaten in four games.
Three of those four games have been draws and Martin Jol’s side have only won one away game in the league this season.
