PREVIEW
Zab Judah will likely prove Amir Khan’s biggest test to date when the pair meet in Las Vegas. Khan moved to dismiss the glass chin accusation directed at him in a tough fight against big-hitting Marcos Maidana. The Argentine could well prove as strong as Judah, but he is not in the same league in terms of speed.
Judah’s problems are well documented and he has often proved his own downfall in a somewhat controversial boxing career. The American claims he is now a more mature fighter as he feels more settled outside of the ring. Khan will be wary of his opponent, but will have noted that Judah has looked beatable in his recent bouts.
Khan remains on the up and has the potential to be one of the very best around. The man from Bolton has a superb support team and has the advantage of training with the world’s best – Freddy Roach. In the famous Wild Card gym, Khan also has the luxury of sparring with Manny Pacquiao, who is one of the quickest fighters in world boxing.
Both fighters are very quick, but Khan edges the stakes given he is the younger and Judah is on the way down. If Khan maintains his discipline and avoids walking onto any unnecessary punches, he should come through this with ease. I would be inclined to back Khan to continue his impressive run and claim his 26th win of his career.
RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Khan to win by decision or TD at around 2.99: 4 points
Friday’s Return: NO BET
