PREVIEW
Manchester City will face one of their biggest tests of the season when they travel to Anfield on Sunday and all the focus will be on how they will fare after Tuesday night’s defeat in Napoli.
Roberto Mancini now knows that qualification for the last 16 is out of their hands and the Italian is starting to feel some heat for the first time this season.
Liverpool were terrific at Stamford Bridge last weekend and deserved all three points having given Chelsea a torrid afternoon. Kenny Dalglish has been left utterly frustrated though with some of the performances at Anfield that have produced two recent draws against Norwich and Swansea.
The Reds have been guilty of missing too many chances and they cannot afford the same mistakes against a team of City’s quality. However, against Chelsea they were at their clinical best and that showed with Glen Johnson’s superb late winner.
There will be some serious attacking talent on show, with Luis Suarez, Mario Balotelli and Sergio Aguero all in good scoring form.
Napoli showed that City are indeed beatable, but Liverpool seem to be suffering from the pressure of playing in front of their own fans. Even with Liverpool’s win in West London, they just haven’t convinced at home and with that the draw looks most appealing at 3.3 on BETDAQ.
RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back the draw at around 3.3: 5 points
Saturday’s Return: -6 points
