Paul Lambert’s Norwich side have the perfect opportunity to put even more daylight between themselves and the relegation places with a win against Wigan. The Canaries are currently 13 points off Wolves in 17th place and a win could lift them to eighth if all goes their way.
Norwich have hit a bit of a rut and come into Sunday’s clash on the back of three straight defeats. One of those was in the cup to Leicester City and another was only down to a last minute Ryan Giggs goal after a superb performance against the champions.
Wigan are rock-bottom and in dire need of a change in fortunes otherwise they will have to prepare for life in the Championship. Roberto Martinez has been in this situation before and kept the Latics up, but this will be his biggest achievement yet. Surprisingly the Latics have actually fared better on the road than at home with three wins compared to the one at the DW Stadium.
The Canaries got a point in the reverse fixture and with the run Wigan are on, they can go one better this time with the game at Carrow Road. My advice for punters would be to back the home side at around 1.87 on BETDAQ.
